Our Lady of Victory is NOW ACCEPTING PRE-K APPLICATIONS. WELCOME GRANTS are available to families wishing to give Our Lady of Victory Catholic School a try. The
grant significantly reduces tuition for the child’s first two years at our school and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Qualifying students will be immersed in a safe & nurturing environment with a strong curriculum and dedicated teachers committed to each child’s growth. The Craft & Community Guild A few weeks ago, Father Kevin asked if the Craft Guild might be interested in making Prayer Shawls that he could take to the sick and to those with whom he visits for
prayer. He explained the Shawls offer comfort not only to the recipient, but also to the family. If you can knit, sew, or crochet and would like to partici-pate in this ministry, please contact Amy Anderson @ 678 962 3071 or [email protected] for more information.

El cristiano debe distinguir entre los obstáculos que persisten ante el crecimiento de su vida espiritual, y las inconveniencias o dificultades propias de la vida humana. La desobediencia a Dios y su mandato, según narra hoy la primera
lectura, se convierte en un obs-táculo serio que impide el creci-miento de la espiritualidad per-sonal y comunitaria. No obstan-te, san Pablo nos invita a mirar más allá hacia el horizonte de la esperanza, cuando también resu-citaremos a una nueva vida en el Señor. Por ello, no hay obstáculo que no podamos vencer con la
gracia de Dios, ya que vivimos para el Señor. En el Evangelio, los escribas acusaron a Jesús de estar poseído por Satanás. En medio de su de-fensa ante ellos se aparecen su madre y parien-tes, su familia que viene a rescatarlo. En medio de las crisis humanas, también nuestra Madre María y parientes, la Iglesia, nos rescata y nos muestra el camino de la verdadera felicidad en el Señor. Conviene que la vida misionera de la comunidad sirva para que sus ministros y vo-luntarios sepan distinguir entre los obstáculos serios que se presentan y la rutina diaria con tantas pequeñas vicisitudes que a veces les mortifican. El Señor nos concede su fortaleza para vencer aquello que nos impide crecer en su vida divina y nos ayuda a tener paciencia y paz para poder dirigir nuestra mirada a diario hacia el nuevo horizonte de esperanza que nos motiva a proclamar su palabra de amor.

In our lives, Christians must distinguish between
the serious obstacles that impede our spiritual
growth and those inconveniences or difficulties
that arise out of human experience. In today’s
First Reading, disobeying
God and his
commandment is a serious
obstacle that gets in the
way of the spiritual growth
of the person and the
community. In today’s
Second Reading, Saint Paul
invites his audience to look
beyond this life toward the
hope of new life in the Risen Lord. In this new
life, we trust that all obstacles can be overcome
with the grace of God. In the Gospel, the scribes
accuse Jesus of being possessed by Satan. As he
offers a defense with a teaching of his own, his
mother and relatives arrive. As we face major
obstacles in life, we have our Mother Mary and
family members, the Church, to rescue and lead
us down the path of true happiness in Christ. It is
important that missionary disciples of the
community learn to distinguish between major
obstacles that prevent spiritual maturity and the
minor inconveniences of their journey. The Lord
gives us his strength to conquer anything that
keeps us from growing in his divine life and helps
