ENGLISH HOLIDAY HOMEWORK (2020) CLASS X 1. Revise and complete the syllabus done during the online classes. 2. Watch the English news daily in order to equip yourself with the latest information and facts on COVID-19, to be used as content in later writing and speaking skills. 3. Make a Power Point presentation (containing 6-7slides) of the summary of any one chapter. Be creative and save the ppt in a pen drive for grading.(This will be integrated with Computer) * Roll nos. 1-30 will make the ppt from ‘First Flight’ textbook, from any chapter or poem from chapters 5 to 11. * Roll nos. 31 to the last roll no. will make the ppt from ‘Footprints Without Feet’ textbook, from any chapter from 4 to 10. 4. Create a timeline of Nelson Mandela’s life, chronologically presenting the history of South Africa's iconic first Black President in a creative form. You may explore timelines on the internet for visual presentation. Make the timeline on an A-4 sheet horizontally. Make a creative neat border. (This will be integrated with Social Science) Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB ) – The EBSB has been one of the major flagship programmes of the Government to bring in cultural integration of the country as a part of the vision to build a "New India by 2022". The programme , aims to actively enhance interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different States and UTs in India, with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them. The MHRD is the coordinating Ministry for these activities under EBSB . Under this programme Delhi has been paired with Sikkim for people to know about each one’s cultures and lifestyles and much more. 5. Keeping this purpose in mind each of you will research the rich culture of Sikkim and its people, their festivals& fairs, dances, art forms, traditional dresses, traditional food, places for sight-seeing, etc and create a colourful Travel Brochure on Sikkim .Be innovative and add relevant information,captions (for eg., ART FORMS OF SIKKIM, FESTIVALS & FAIRS OF SIKKIM, etc)See example below. You can make it computerized or handmade. You can draw or stick photographs. Write your name & class in place of the travel agent’s name.
