wild game against Norwood scoring 4 goals in a 4 1/2 minute span; 10/8/11: a convincing 2-0
win over city #1 ranked Mariemont; the 2011 tournament run with four straight one goal wins
against Badin, Mariemont, Madeira and Fenwick; 11/12/11: the 5-2 state title game over Laurel;
8/21/12: a second consecutive win over Indian Hill (their only regular season loss); 10/27/12: a
1-0 over Lehman Catholic for a second consecutive District title; 11/3/12: a 3-0 win over Troy
Christian for a second consecutive Regional title; 9/16/13: a hard fought 2-0 win over Marie-
mont, a sixth consecutive win in the series; 9/25/13: a huge 1-0 win over rival CCD; 8/16/14: a
convincing season opening 4-0 win against Cardinal Mooney; 9/127/14: a 6-1 demolition of
nemesis Bishop Fenwick; 10/25/14 District title vs. Fenwick & 11/1/14 Regional tile vs. CCD.
The cumulative statistics for the senior class: 16 varsity letters, 231 games played, 108 games
started, 207 shots, 139 shots on goal, 40 goals scored, 7 game winners, 40 goals assisted, 120

A Special Thanks to Cecily Nelson
A special thanks goes out to senior student manager Cecily Nelson who has kept an unbe-
lievably organized book and helps immensely with game day preparations. She has set the standard
for future student managers.
Cec, Hello fellow housewife. First off, I cannot believe it is your senior year. I remember my freshmen
year sitting on the bus with you going to the complex, singing Taylor Swift’s, “We Are Never Getting Back
Together”. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by; but I am grateful because as time progressed from my
freshman, sophomore, to now, junior year, I have been so blessed to get to know you better and get much
closer to you. You are one of the kindest, most caring and generous person I know. If I am ever having a bad
day, or if I need someone to vent to, I know you will always be there. You are such a good person, always posi-
tive and always lightening the mood and lifting spirts. I cannot even fathom how sad it will be when you leave
and go off to college, but I know wherever you go and whatever you decide to do in life, you will be so suc-
cessful. Your drive and persistence to always succeed and improve is something I admire the most about you.
You are always making me and everyone else around laugh with your wit and your humor. This soccer season
is and will always be memorable because of your presence and positivity you bring to the team, and we want to
thank you for your dedication to not only doing the stats, but being our biggest fan. Cec, I love you so much
and I can’t wait to see you accomplish and succeed in life, know I will always be here for you and that you are
and will always be my best friend. Addy Smythe, Class of 2016

Abby, You are the sweetest girl I've ever met and such a great teammate. I've loved playing
with you for these last two seasons because you always are so positive to everyone. When
someone makes a mistake, you encourage them to keep on working hard and trying their
best. As you are saying these things to players, you too always raise the intensity by trying
as hard as you possibly can. I love watching you pressure the defense and always sprint as
fast as you can because I know that you want to be successful to help the team. I love
thinking about our memories, our little handshake (you could say) and getting pumped up
before games by singing along (or screaming) to old Justin Bieber songs. You are a great
friend and I could not imagine these past two seasons without you. You have made the
times so much fun and you constantly encourage me to work hard, whether it is in prac-
tice or in games. You also always are trying new things which I love seeing you do. I love
you Abby and thank you for being such a great teammate and friend.

I love the progression Abby has made over the past four years. After working hard on the JV team
as a freshman, she came prepared to make an impact heading into her sophomore year. I like to say
that she willed herself to be relevant. It became absolutely impossible not to notice her. She has
that skill you cannot coach—a constant motor. Abby has never taken a moment on the field lightly.
She does not take for granted every minute she spends on the field. She is easily one of the best
role models I have had in my 20 years to show what hard work and determination will earn. I am
so proud how she represents our program. Thank you Abby for the contributions and impact you have
made upon this program. -Coach Fee

Dear Brenna, I don't know if you know this but I'm obsessed with you. Every single day
walking into practice I can count on you to put a smile on my and everyone else's face.
Your charm, laughter, will power, and integrity is contagious. You work hard on and off
the soccer field. I believe that you will achieve greatness; you deserve to. To me it seems
as if every situation that is thrown at you, you take with grace and look for the best possi-
ble outcome. I don't know this to be a fact, I realize life can be tough, but from my impres-

Like some of her classmates, she had to earn varsity minutes and progressed as member of the JV
team, to a role player with the varsity, to a starter to now a captain and an integral part of the varsi-
ty team. You love to see this progression and growth as a coach as you see confidence grow with
each step. Brenna is as kind and caring a teammate as we have amongst a great group of girls. She
defines what it means to be a team player. She works, guides, cajoles, cheers and praises her team-
mates and deservedly so is widely respected for her temperament and affability with her teammates.
Brenna is one of those players whose importance cannot simply be measured by statistics.

Morgans’ progression and improvement from sophomore to junior year was eye-popping. She emerged
as an important player contributing minutes off the bench that really allowed the level of play to maintain
from the starters to the subs. This is exactly what you want from your bench players. What impressed
me most about Morgan is her ability to make an impact in so many areas of our school community—from
the soccer field to the art wing to the court room as a Mock Trial participant. Morgan embodies what
we strive to build in our students—well rounded among many of the pillars. It has been a pleasure watch-

I know Caroline contemplated not returning for her senior season. It took some convinc-
ing from both her father and I, but in the end, her decision to play has enabled us to keep such a
great young woman as part of the program. Caroline’s true value is going to be measured by her
willingness to do whatever the staff asks and her open acceptance of all members of the program. I
know the younger players all admire Caroline and seek out her guidance and friendship. On the
field, Caroline has gained confidence and has stepped up in the time of need this season against good
competition. As with several of her classmates, she has proven that the program has great depth.
As playful and happy she is off the field, she is focused and determined on the field.

Elisabeth Dieckman-Meyer was an awesome addition to the girls' soccer team all of her
years at the Summit Upper School. She gave it her all throughout her four years and
remained a team player through and through. She supported both the JV and Varsity
squads adding a fun element to both our practices and games. Persevering through
multiple injuries, she always made sure to heal up and take care of herself, setting a good
example for the rest of the team. Not only was Liz a field player and a goalie, but most
importantly, she was a team player.
Thanks for everything you've contributed, Liz! You rock!

Lauren exudes joy. She has such a strong willingness to simply be a part of the pro-
gram, but she has brought more than that this year. Her skills and confidence pro-
gressed more in the past year than they did in the previous three seasons. I know
that Lauren’s accomplishments produce more cheers from the bench and field than
other players. This is a result of how much she is admired by her teammates, from
her fellow seniors to the freshmen. It has been so satisfying to see her progress

Em, Just for the future I am asking, when you start and run a big corporation, will you please hire me? You have

Dear Mommy and Dad-e-oh,
I just wanted to thank you both for pushing me to stick with soccer, it was the best decision I ever could have made! You both have pushed me to become a better version of myself and I cannot thank you guys enough for that. Mommy, thanks for being my ultimate cheerleader, “big sister”, and best friend that I can always count on to be there for me through thick and thin. Dad-e-oh, thanks for putting up with my constant talking back while you were my coach (those days are still my most cherished memories, and I’m not just saying that!), I don’t think I tell you enough that I really look up to you and love the time we spend to-gether. You guys are the best parents anyone could’ve asked for! I will miss you both (and Kik of course)
when I go to college but I will be coming home to you all a bunch, you can’t get rid of me that easy!!
With all the love in the world (and that’s a lot of love!),

Mom and Dad,
Thanks for always being my number one fans. You both gave up so much time and money to watch me play, and I can't thank you enough. Having your support on and off the field let's me know that I can do any-
thing because you believe in me. I love you both!
Love, Em
Mom, thanks for supporting me through all four years of high school soccer, especially when I wasn’t on var-
sity yet. I know that you have fun hosting people, but it’s also tiring and a lot of work. You made the soccer
season so much easier for me by being so flexible.
Dad, thanks for not yelling at the team for leaving the lights on when we had team meal at our house. You
also helped me a lot whenever I got hurt, even though I didn’t always listen to what you told me. Sorry
about that, but I’m still glad you kept yelling at me if I forgot.
Thank you again and all my love, Brenna
Dear Mom,
This letter cannot justify how much you mean to me. From day 1, you have been my #1 fan and the drive
behind all that I do. No matter what, you always are there to support me. Thank you for pushing me to my
limits on our long runs and races, for driving me from game to game, and for picking my head up when it is
down. You sacrifice everything for David, Remi, and I and also give us an example of how to live life to the
fullest. I hope someday I could be as strong as you. Finally, “I know I'm who I am today, because I knew
you”.
Love you infinity
Abby
Dear Dad,
Thank you for coaching my first soccer team. Even though I was 3 and was probably running around picking
flowers with my hair pulled up into pigtails (and bows). You still continue to coach me today and to make
me a better player. Thank you for coming to my games and supporting me no matter what. Love you
