Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen. Amen. Imagine No Malaria: How Many Lives Have We Saved? Call to Prayer Rev. Allison Farrah Unison Prayer of Confession Just like Peter, Lord, we want to get all “legalistic” about forgiveness. We want to know if one time to forgive someone is sufficient. We might even be willing to extend forgiveness twice, but we have a tendency to follow the saying, “Once burned, twice shy.” Teach us to be humble and merciful. Remind us of the many ways in which you have offered, time and time again, your forgiving love to us. Heal our wounds and bind up our brokenness. For we ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN. Words of Assurance Prayer Requests Chorus No.2068 (TFWS) I Love You, Lord
I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice to worship you, O my soul rejoice.
Take joy, my King, in what you hear, may it be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear.

Ponder this….
He who has not forgiven an enemy
has never yet tasted one of the most sublime enjoyments of life.

***
We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive.
He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love.
There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us.
When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
HOLY SMOKE is coming!
We are now accepting VENDOR applications for the HOLY SMOKE BBQ and Music Festival on Saturday, September 27 from 11-3. We’ll have BBQ and hot dogs and a variety of musical guests on stage. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure’ then peace-loving,
considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

Next Sunday Morning
The Methodist Men are cooking another fabulous breakfast next Sunday
morning, Sept. 21 at 8:30. Everyone is invited to participate. Men and women,
boys and girls, will enjoy this luscious treat! And you don’t have to cook or
clean-up! In addition, Helen Little will be our guest speaker. Helen is the catalyst
for developing the Ryan-Epps Home in Haiti. Allison and I had the pleasure of
working in the home and getting to know the children there. Helen will speak
during Sunday School and the 11:00 worship service. You will be blessed to be
present next Sunday. See you there!
