Strengths of BSI
Diversity: entrepreneurship support infrastructure in Poland consists of different types of innovation and entrepreneurship entities;
Substantial contribution: an increasing role of support infrastructure in the process of the Polish economy innovation development;
Independence of institutions in their activities and the ability to quickly respond to the entrepreneurs needs.
Weaknesses of BSI
Disintegration of different levels of support (not effective cooperation central – region);
Poor co-operation with other entities of regional innovation systems, including business environment institutions;
Large rotation of professional staff, the centres need constant support in raising qualifications. Weak commercialization competencies;
Financing instability.
Key BSI:active partner or leader for R&I
projects, key cluster coordinators, support for bus. research with global impact
Regional BSI:active support for
enterprises/research in order to achieve innovation development
