Don Baker and Rob Strong, are twoof Ireland’s best known rock/bluesmusicians …Irish Blues legendsfits the description! Put themtogether with a fabulouskeyboard player and drummer,and you get a formidable outfit.Dublin’s Don Baker, is known as aprolific singer/songwriter/musician for over 50years and has had two numberone singles ‘Winner in You’ onthe RTE label and ‘Inner City’.Other artists to record Don’s

songs include Sinéad O’ Connor, Finbar Furey, Declan O’ Rourke andLiam Ó Maonlaoi ,with Bono from U2 describing Don as ‘The bestharmonica player in the world’. He has also released a total of 15 albumsduring his career.Rob Strong, from Derry, on bass guitar and lead vocals,is another of Ireland’s Living Legends, who also has been performing formore than five decades! Rob still has that unique and sensational voicethat saw him pull in huge crowds with one of the top showbands in the‘60s ‘ The Plattermen’, and his own band The Rockets in the 1970s. IndeedRob once turned down theopportunity to join the world famous‘Deep Purple. Rob also plays bassand sings, with his son, AndrewStrong, lead singer of ‘TheCommitments. The band alsofeatures one of Ireland’s bestkeyboard players, Salvatore Urbanofrom Naples and on drums we haveanother of Ireland’s finest, Hugh O’Neill. In all, Don, Rob and the boys,guarantee a great night of blues androck n’ roll.

In 2013 they decided to focus all their energy and talents to developtheir distinctive power trio.This Montreal-based, Canadian Blues band,blend rock with straight-ahead blues in a way that echoes the vibe ofthe great power trios from the 60’s and 70’s, ranging from guitar-drivenpyrotechnic blazing to a milder blues boogie wondrously pepperedwith pleasing funky bass lines and a swamp-blues backbeat.The bandare multiple award winners, most recently crowned Entertainer of theYear for the second year in a row at the 21st annual Maple Blues Awardsheld on January 15th, 2018 in Toronto, Canada. The Grainne Duffy Band (Monaghan)

Described by The Sunday Timesas ‘a blues singer of realintegrity’, Grainne Duffy is apioneer of her own style whilealso paying sincere homage toher roots, soul, blues, countryand rock traditions. She is aseasoned artist and has beenspending the last number ofyears touring in Europe,Scandinavia, Asia and Canada.Some highlights thus far haveincluded international leadingfestivals including threeperformances at Glastonbury.In 2015 Grainne was awardedwinner in BM Writers Poll in thecategories ‘Best Vocalist’ and‘Best Solo Artist’ in the UK.

Grainne embarked on her 1st evertour in Australia which included performances on the blues stage atWoodford Folk Festival,Queensland. She was also invitedto Mahindra Blues Festival, Indiaand joined Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top)and Shemika Copeland onstagefor the festival encore. 2016 and2017 saw her back in the USrecording with producer JustinStanley and released her eagerlyawaited third album, ‘Where IBelong’.

Ruzz Guitar’s Blues Revue (Bristol, UK)‘Ruzz Guitar’s Blues Revue’ is a powerful, soul injectedBlues/R’n’B/Rock’n’Roll band hailing from Bristol UK and leadby Gretsch endorsed guitarist Ruzz Guitar. After takinginspiration from great guitarists such as Wilko Johnson, BrianSetzer, Jim Heath and Jimmie Vaughan, Ruzz has developed hisown style which is quickly becoming recognised around theglobe. Joining forces with drummer Zachary Evans and bassistJoe Allen from Bristol, they create the unique musical blend

Oneof his songs (Ooh là là Paddy”), sung with Brisa Roché, was recently used in thesoundtrack of Hollywood movie ‘Behaving Badly ‘.

Crow Black Chicken (Ireland)This top Irish power trio combine elements of folk and hardrock with the blues rock of bands like Gov’t mule, LynyrdSkynyrd and Led Zeppelin. The band was formed in 2009 inCork City when lead singer Christy O’Hanlon met the formerrhythm section of Clonmel Punk Rock outfit AuralAmmunition, Stephen McGrath ( Bass ) and Gev Barrett (Drums ). The band immediately jelled and went on toperform on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2011.They released their first blues rock & roll album in 2012 with a second album‘Rumble Shake ‘ debuting at number 12 in the Irish album charts. A first live album‘Deep South’ was voted as one of the top 5 Live Albums of 2015. The following year,Crow Black Chicken opened for ZZ Top at the Marquee in Cork which brought themface to face with the Texan compatriots whom they often drew so manycomparisons.

Clara Rose Band (Monaghan)Clara Rose, the little Monaghan lady with the powerful voice,described as sounding like “an opera star running through herscales” (Eamon Carr) and yet her music is steeped in blues,roots, folk and a whole lot of soul. After her debut ‘A Portfolio’(2010), Clara Rose recently released her second album, ‘TheOffering’ to international acclaim, “The Irish singer delivers avery impressive performance with this soulful and folky album”(Blues Magazine, The Netherlands).Her live E.P ‘Queen of theLate Night Radio’ (2012) ignited a collaboration with harmonica

player/song writer Don Baker. She appeared on his album ‘My Songs, My Friends’(2013) this collaboration developed into a nationwide tour and release of theiralbum ‘Baker Rose’ (2016). Clara Rose and her band are set to rock the Harvest TimeBlues Festival once again this year, it is a good feeling to ‘come home’ and always ahighlight on the gig calendar!

Glas (South Wales)To capture the vibe and feel of classic blues, rock and roll,country, and R+B in a modern and contemporary way is nomean feat. Step forward GLAS, a three piece band from SWales. Featuring a combined collective of talent that hasseen them share stages with the likes of Albert Lee, TheGroundhogs, Bill Kirchen, Leo Bud Welch, Crazy Cavan andThe Rhythm Rockers, The Spellkasters, and Gerry Mcavoy’s Band Of Friends , JohnOtway, Jason Ricci,Mick Pini, Deke Leonard and Ben Waters. GLAS, fronted by DaiJohn on vocals and bass, with the drums of Sam Andrews, and lead guitar of JamesOliver are one of the hardest working with regular festival appearances across theUK and beyond.

Ronnie Greer Band (Belfast, Northern Ireland)One of the justifiable legends of the Northern Ireland music scene, Ronnie Greer is

also one of its favourite performers. A superb blues and jazzguitarist, his fingers have added passion and fire to some of thegreatest blues bands in the country, including the legendaryJim Daly Blues Band. As a sideman and frontman, Ronnie hasshared the stage with some of the biggest names in thebusiness – including the likes of Dr. John, Lowell Fulson, PhilGuy, Johnny Mars and many more. A few years back, Ronnieformed a blues quartet that was the equal of any with AnthonyToner joining the band in mid 2007 with his soulful vocals and

West Coast-inspired slide playing, adding a new dimension to the band. The RonnieGreer Band notched up notable successes with their stint as backing band for thelegendary Whitey Johnston when touring Northern Ireland in the spring of 2007.

Rusty Jacks (Derry, Northern Ireland)Rusty Jacks are a talented Irish outfit who play ‘Southernblues’. Their first album,‘Movin On’, with original new songs,covered several styles and was widely acclaimed. Takingtheir influences from their love of America’s Deep SouthBlues and adding their own Irish twist,’the lads’ created afantastic album, which they are proud of. Covering all aspectsof the ‘Southern Blues’ genre,they have produced tenfabulous original songs and added two old classics.Steaming hot guitars,hauntingslide guitar,thundering rhythm section, rasping gravely vocals and a sprinkling ofharmonica licks,this album has ‘something for everyone’. Over the years they haveplayed with the likes of Taste, The Ronnie Greer Band,Mamas Boys, Pat McManus,Grainne Duffy, Jim Armstrong and many more.

DD & The Delta Boys (Donegal, Ireland)DD & The Delta Boys is a four piece Rhythm & Blues band whocelebrate the music of blues legends such as Sonny BoyWilliamson, Little Walter and Muddy Waters along withcontemporary heroes Paul Lamb, Billy Gibson, Eric Claptonand many others. Band founder and front man Dermot Donohue(DD) leads with vocals and blistering harmonica and is solidlybacked on guitar by Mark Black. The back beat is tightlybound together by Michael O’Boyce on fretless bass and thestylish drumming of percussionist Ronan McKee. Each of these

boys brings with them a love and passion for their instrument and when you put allof that together it cooks up to a damn fine foot-stomping brew that plays easy on theear and is a thrill to experience live.
