Today’s gospel from Mark is a metaphor for our lives. We are in the boat, the storms of life are raging around us, and like the disciples, we may believe that Jesus is unconcerned, or “sleeping.” We hope that we will be as familiar with Jesus as his disciples. Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. Last Friday, around 250 kids were having the time of their life playing kickball and carnival games, having a blast on the huge inflatables, dashing around the field for a donut, getting soaking wet, enjoying tacos, snow cones, and so much more! Fun Fest was huge success and the committee is very grateful to all who helped in any way. Your generosity helped us make Fun Fest possible! Thank you to all of our youth and adult volunteers (over 100!), without you, we wouldn’t have an event! Thank you to our school and parish community for coming to Fun Fest, buying raffle tickets, and/or praying for the event. Your prayers were heard! We made around $5,000! ANOINTING OF THE SICK Next weekend, June 26 &27, we read in the gospel about the healing of Jairus's daughter. Join us for this precious Sacrament.
Those who may celebrate the Sacrament of Anointing include the following:
a) anyone anticipating surgery in the near future, b) those who are suffering from a chronic illness, c) and anyone generally aged, but not particularly ill. THE 4 PILLARS OF CATHOLICISM Now is the time to register for our summer education program, taught by Deacon Ben Valentine. We will explore our Catholic faith through the lens of the Creed, the Sacraments, prayer, and Christian Living. If you or someone you know would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, this program can serve as that preparation. Classes begin Tuesday, June 29th at 5:15 PM in English (bring your Bible!) and 6:45 PM in Spanish. We will meet in the Faith Formation lower level on the St. Henry campus. El programa vespertino para estudiantes de 7º a 12º grado (domingo 20 de junio al jueves 24 de junio) de 7-9 PM. No es necesario que se registre previamente para el programa nocturno. ¡Ven como puedas durante algunas o todas las noches! ÚLTIMA TALLER DE LIBERTAD FINANCIERA El tema para este jueves, de 6 a 7 PM en el sótano de Santa María, es la última clase. Será de mucho provecho para todos los participantes! No se se pierda esta oportunidad. Es completamente gratis, y hay cuidado de niños. Gracias a todos quien participaron.

PADRES Y MADRES ORANTES Un grupo de oración, "Padres y Madres Orantes" se reúne los miércoles a las 11:00 AM y otro grupo los lunes a las 6 PM en la Iglesia Santa María, ante el Santísimo. Los libritos de oración cuestan $3.00 y se los pueden conseguir con Elba Vázquez o en el mismo grupo de oración. Es tan importante rezar por nuestros hijos en toda etapa, en todo momento de sus vidas. ¡Dios nos los ha confiado!

LA MISA DE UNCIÓN DE LOS ENFERMOS La misa de unción de los enfermos será el fin de semana del 26 y 27 de junio. Leemos en el evangelio sobre la curación de la hija de Jairo. Acompáñanos por este precioso Sacramento.
Aquellos que pueden celebrar el Sacramento de la Unción incluyen los siguientes:
a) cualquiera que esté anticipando una cirugía en un futuro próximo, b) los que padecen una enfermedad crónica, c) y cualquier persona de edad en general, pero no particularmente enferma.
ROSARIO ANTES DE LA MISA A LAS 11:30 AM Cada domingo antes de la misa de 11:30 AM se reza el rosario, y agradecemos a las personas que se han ofrecido para dirigir esta devoción a Nuestra Madre Santísima. LOS 4 PILARES DEL CATOLICISMO Ahora es el momento de inscribirse para nuestro programa educativo del verano, impartido por el diácono Ben Valentine. Exploraremos nuestra fe
católica a través del Credo, los sacramentos, la oración y la vida cristiana. Si usted o alguien que conoce quisiera recibir el Sacramento de la Confirmación, este programa puede ser suficiente para esa preparación. Las clases comienzan el martes 29 de junio a las 6:45 PM en español (trae su biblia y catecismo si los tiene). Nos reuniremos en la planta baja de la oficina de Formación de Fe en el campus de St. Henry. Llame a la oficina parroquial para inscribirse.
