ATING out late: Think about

bars that serve food, as well

as Mad Mush, Tolly Ho, Qdoba

and places like that.

After a night on the town and an

empty stomach (well except for cer-

tain substances), it is just the time to

gather yourself and get some food.

Here’s the guide for everything you

will ever need to know about late

night dining.

If you’re looking for a staple on

UK’s campus, look no further than

Tolly Ho. Located on South Broadway,

it has classic diner food and breakfast

all day. Cheeseburgers, sandwiches

and milkshakes are all popular choic-

es. And, if it’s your first time, make

sure to tell the staff.

The Qdoba on Euclid is also open

late on the weekends. It is open until

4:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and

Sunday. You can go with the classic

quesadilla or burrito, but the option of

a breakfast burrito is now there from

midnight to 4:30 a.m.

If you are more of a pizza eater in

the late night hours, there are numer-

ous options available for you. Mad

Mushroom on South Limestone is

popular because of the pizza and

cheesesticks. Thursday through

Saturday they are open until 3 a.m.

Another pizza place is Goodfellas

Pizzeria, located inside of Two Keys

Tavern. Not only is the pizza good,

but you should never have an

excuse to go hungry after a night

out considering it is indeed located

inside of the bar.

Getting Around

night out on the town usually consists of

calling taxis to take people to and from

their destinations. However, cabs can be

hard to rely on at times when their services are

busy. Fortunately, there are two unique alternatives

in Lexington for finding safe and reliable rides that

many people are unaware of.

One option to taxi cabs is BeMyDD, a driving

service that resembles a chauffeur at a cost lower

than most taxis, limousines and other chauffeurs.

Professional designated drivers use the customer’s

car to ensure a comfortable and safe transportation

experience.

The drivers arrive at the pickup location in which

they leave their cars behind and drive their cus-

tomers’ cars. At the destination, the drivers will

wait in the car until the customers are ready to

leave. The service is considered cheaper than oth-

ers because the designated driver and personal

driver service costs between $12.50 and $15 per

hour. There is a minimum of three hours for the

hourly flat rate, which allows you and your passen-

gers to stop as much as you want and wherever you

want within a 50-mile radius.

To guarantee a driver, reservations can be made

on-line at BeMyDD.com, over the phone or by

using the official BeMyDD mobile app.

The 360 Limousine is another alternative to call-

ing a taxi. When you call the driver Eddie Ward,

known as “Fast Eddie,” you will encounter a differ-

ent experience than with any other limousine serv-

ice. The brand new 10-passenger Lincoln Limousine

greets its customers with a red carpet. Inside,

clients will find rose pedals scattered on the floor

and streamers hanging from the ceilings.

“We decorate cheesy to make everyone laugh and

to start their night off right. We want our customers

to feel like they are getting into a big birthday pres-

ent,” Ward said.

The service is highly requested, so reservations

are recommended. The difference between 360

Limousine and other companies is that there is no

minimum requirement, so the customer can ride for

20 minutes or for four hours. The service cost a dol-

lar a minute plus a $10 fuel fee.

“The main goal is to make the client happy,”

Ward said. “I work

with and am friends

with other limousine

companies so that if

you have a group of

30, I can call them

and they can take

some of your party.”

360 Limousine can

often be found driv-

ing around downtown, where people can be

picked up and given free rides around the down-

town loop so they can see what the service is

like.

Ward’s reasoning for being so generous with

rides is that he “ looks forward to the future busi-

ness and new customers.”

The 360 Limousine can be reserved by calling

859-797-8739, and more information can be

found on Facebook.

Whether it’s calling a taxi, having a profes-

sional drive you in the comfort of your own

car, or riding around in an entertaining limou-

sine, there are plenty of ways to get around

the city of Lexington safely. When going out

for an exciting night, just remember no form

of transportation is as costly as driving under

the influence.
