ZIM FLUGSITZ managed to combine innovative design with advanced materials (such as carbon fibre) to optimize weight. The modular design of this seat ensures short lead time and is adaptable to all narrow-body and wide-body aircrafts. The sophisticated concept simplifies the customization of the seat.

The wide range of features e.g. headrest, recline, articulated seat pan, different kinds of backrest and seat bottom cushions, several armrests (full-length, slim), footrest and IFE integration can be added to the basic version and completes the product range.

The new Business Class Seat offers each passenger
optimized comfort with stowage space and several
options.
Selectable options are the ergonomically contoured
seat back and bottom, seat articulation, one piece
in-arm table in centre console, legrest incl. footplate
and legrest extension, 6-way moveable headrest
and cocktail table.
Additionally, the new seat can be customized with
all common IFE systems which offers a touch-
screen function and enhanced compatibility with
personal electrics devices.
Moreover, ZIM also offers a handicap aisle side
armrest which is nowadays required. In addition the
integration of in-arm-video in the centre console
of the seat is possible in order to use e.g. a touch-
screen monitor comfortably for a bigger pitch.
The new coming-up Business Class Seat will be de-
livered to the launch customer in the first quarter
2012 and will highlight ZIM’s extraordinary enginee-
ring skills in multi material design and comfort.

Certifications
The Dynamic Test Center AG is a swiss center for
safety tests of technical structures by means of
dynamic and static procedures and for providing
related professional services.
The analytical and measurement technique infra-
structure and the high quality standard of the ex-
perts’ opinion made the DTC- company to a advan-
ced partner for ZIM FLUGSITZ.
ZIM FLUGSITZ has a Quality Management System which corresponds to the international standards. With the Part 21J approval to do STCs (aircraft interior), ZIM FLUGSITZ comple-ted its portfolio in order to reach maximum customer satisfaction.

Production
ZIM FLUGSITZ boots its manufacturing capacity continuously.
ZIM FLUGSITZ continues its growth strategy with another extension of the production capacity within the next year.
After 3 years of manufacturing the Economy Class Seat for
different nameable airlines, ZIM FLUGSITZ has collected
enough experience in producing a demanding aircraft product
like an aircraft seat.
In 2011 ZIM FLUGSITZ accepted the challenge to develop and
sell its first Business Class Seat.
In 2012 the Business Class Seat is under production. At the
time the well motivated assembling crew produces on three
production lines. To reach the targets for 2012/2013 it will be
necessary to increase this production capacity.
