Lois Pope se une a la ‘American Humane Association’ LEADING PHILANTHROPIST Líder Filántropa Lois Pope Founder and President of the Lois Pope Life Foundation, Inc. and LIFE (Leaders in Furthering Education) Lois Pope has joined the board of the American Humane Association. As the nation’s voice for the protection of children and animals, the American Humane Association reaches millions of people every day through groundbreaking research, education, training and services that span a wide network of organizations, agencies and businesses. The AHA’s mission is to create a more humane and compassionate world by ending abuse and neglect of children and animals. Mrs. Pope joins the ranks of other well-known supporters of the AHA such as Martha Stewart, Whoopi Goldberg, Jillian Michaels, Kristin Chenoweth, and Betty White. She is one of America’s leading philanthropists and co-founder and chairman of the Disabled Veterans’ LIFE Memorial Foundation and has raised funds since 1997 for the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. The Memorial is the brainchild of Mrs. Pope whose commitment to disabled veterans dates back some 40 years. Mrs. Pope has been honored numerous times for her dedication to improving the world around her. In 2007 she was honored with the “Outstanding Philanthropist Award”.
