OUTBACK QUEENSLAND'S PREMIER

MINING EXPO

The origins of Commerce North West MINEX began twenty

years ago to highlight and showcase the wealth and quality of

the mining industry throughout North West Queensland and

the Carpentaria Minerals Province; one of the worlds richest

mineral producing regions.

From humble beginnings the event has prospered and

developed significantly; today hailed as the largest eastern

Mining Expo in Australia, attracting both national and

international exhibitors to the city of Mount Isa. With a primary

objective of offering exhibitors a strategic opportunity to

showcase their products and services to targeted audiences,

MINEX is one of the key opportunities for businesses, contrac-

tors, consultants, services and corporate entities alike to rub

shoulders and highlight just what makes them a stand out in

the mining industry.

MINEX also prides itself on the quality of the tailored Meet the

Right Buyer Sessions that give exhibitors time to promote their

products and services to senior purchasing officers from

numerous major regional companies.

BIG SCREEN TV

New to MineX 2015 is a large screen television permanently

looping through stills or silent-clips, providing additional promo-

tion opportunities. This Big Screen TV is located next to the

Product Demonstration Area inside the Exhibition Centre.

Provide a one-page still image to be Included in the looped

advertising display. This image is at no cost.

Additional opportunities exist to expand to extra images or

clips; ask about our rates.

PRODUCT DEMONSTRATION AREAS

MineX 2015 with thanks to Energy Power Systems Australia is

offering exhibitors a unique NEW opportunity this year in the

form of dedicated product demonstration platforms.

We have TWO Product Demonstration Areas—one inside the

Exhibition Centre; and the other Outdoors in the corner of the

Expo space.

Reserve your 15 to 30 minute timeslot in either the indoor or

outdoor space. No cost to

demonstrate your product.

Places are limited; and need to be

booked by 24th April to enable the

full program to be advertised and

printed in the Expo Directory.

ELEVATOR PITCH

Elevator Pitches can make or break your business deal. They

can be as long as 60 seconds, or as short as 7 seconds,

although most are around 30 seconds

Our MC for the event will be promoting exhibitors across the

two days, reading out a description that you provide to us,

and referring guests to your booth or outdoor space number.

To be included, simply provide the text for your elevator pitch,

and listen out over MineX to hear your brand being promoted.

MINEX DIRECTORY LISITING

As part of your MineX package, Exhibitors will have an entry in

the MineX Directory. The Directory contains:

A comprehensive map of the venue

A program of all events throughout the two days

A description of all Exhibitors listed in alphabetical order,

Logos and Advertising are optional (refer next page).

Editorial on our sponsors

A copy of the MineX Directory is offered to each guest as they

come into the expo, giving them full details of exhibitors and

where to find them.

To publicise your presence, provide a written description of

your business (maximum 80 words) to be included in the listing.

This entry is at no cost, and over 1000 Directories will be printed

for distribution throughout MineX. 5

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS

MineX Open Hours

The Expo is open from 9am to 6pm on both Wednesday 13 and Thursday

14 May. In accordance with your contract, Expo Exhibitors may be fined

if they commence bump out before the closing time on Thursday.

Food and Beverage

We are happy to announce that The Coffee Club will once again be

operating their MineX Café on site.

Offering a limited menu on the afternoon of Tuesday 12 May to assist

those who are bumping in, The Coffee Club will then provide the

necessary morning kick-start coffees from 7am , operating until 6pm on

both days of MineX.

Providing a wide array of wraps, sandwiches and fresh salads, The

Coffee Club Menu will include mouth-watering bacon and egg rolls for

breakfast and steak and onion hamburgers for lunch. A great place to

meet your business colleagues or to take a break.

Alcohol at MineX

Our Liquor Licence provides for the sale of alcohol at our networking and

closing functions. It also allows the provision of alcohol at your booth

from 4pm to 6pm, by prior arrangement. Please note that booths

will maintain the professionalism of the expo by being discrete with the

consumption of alcohol on site, and ensuring that minors are not offered

alcoholic beverages. Our licence does not allow BYO alcohol; you can

pre-order your daily requirements by contacting the team at Commerce

North West.

Registrations Desk

The Commerce North West team will be at the Registrations Desk from

8am Tuesday 12 May to provide Exhibitors Packs and answer queries.

MEET THE RIGHT BUYER

Expressions of Interest are now being taken

for our Meet the ―Right‖ Buyer sessions.

Commerce North West in collaboration with the Queensland

Government are making over and delivering a new and

improved format of the hugely popular Meet the Buyers

Sessions at this year's Mining Expo in May.

Dubbed Meeting the 'Right' Buyer, free sessions will be offered

to registered exhibitors of MineX 2015 with thanks to Energy

Power Systems Australia.

This year's sessions focus on creating opportunities for exhibitors

to meet with the region's key mining companies; tailored to

best suit their business goals and area of expertise as well as

promote exhibitor innovation.

An important introductory-based program this year’s Meet the

Right Buyer Sessions will include a tailored business matching

process facilitated by the Queensland Government to ensure

both sellers and buyers get the maximum value from these

meetings.

Complete your tailored Request to Participate by 24 April 2015

to enable the matching process to take place. You will then

be contacted with your appointment details, to give you time

to prepare. The Meet the Right Buyer Sessions will be held at

the end of the hoecker.

MINE RESCUE CHALLENGE

A competition amongst regional professional Mine Rescue teams, the

Mine Rescue Challenge aims to highlight the extreme talent,

experience and skill of these highly trained teams, in a format that

allows the public to view their methods and the action.

To be hosted in the Outdoor Demonstration Area at MineX with thanks

to Energy Power Systems Australia, the Mine Recue Challenge will

consist of heats testing a number of rescue-related tasks; culminating

with a final challenge where winners will take home bragging rights as

one of the best mine rescue teams in the business.

COMPETITORS NEEDED! Limited Spaces

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to don the Mine

Rescue suit and carry out physically demanding tasks under pressure?

We are giving you the chance to find out.

Enter a team into the Mine Rescue Exhibitors Challenge today.

Competing at the TAFE Queensland North Networking Event on

Wednesday night, teams can challenge each other for the honour of

Exhibitor Supremacy. Led by a trained Mine Rescue Team Leader,

training and PPE are provided. All you need is your strength,

determination, and the desire to win.

Places are Limited, so register your team early. Don’t have enough

members for a full team? Put your name forward and we will connect

you with other exhibitors and place you into a team. Contact Sue

into the history books of the Mine Rescue Exhibitor Challenge.

TAFE QUEENSLAND NORTH NETWORKING EVENT;

Mine Rescue Challenge with a Twist.

6pm Wednesday 13 May – Outdoor Demonstration Area

Living up to its reputation of offering stand-out nightly networking, this

year’s MineX Networking BBQ is sponsored by TAFE Queensland

North. Not only an opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow ex-

hibitors, the purchasing officers and end-users from the Meet The

Right Buyer sessions have been invited.

However, this Networking BBQ comes with a twist. An Exhibitors Mine

Rescue Challenge Activity will be incorporated into the TAFE Queens-

land North Networking Event. This Challenge pits

exhibitors against each other in the battle for MineX supremacy.

Commencing at 6pm Wednesday 13 May, as soon as MineX

closes to the public, the TAFE Queensland North Networking Event is

held at the Outdoor Demonstration Area in the MineX grounds. The

Exhibitors Mine Rescue Challenge Networking Event is

restricted to Exhibitors and Guests.

Each commercial booth includes two complimentary tickets to the

TAFE Queensland North Networking Event.

Registrations are required. Additional tickets available at $40 each.

in 2015 in celebration of 20 years of

success organisers Commerce North

West are planning to showcase

Outback entertainment as well.

Living up to its reputation as 'Outback'

Queensland's premier mining exhibition

MineX 2015 with thanks to Energy Power

Systems Australia will play host to its very own rodeo.

To take place at the hugely popular closing function and

including a rookie open bull ride, junior bull ride, barrel race

and team roping the rodeo will culminate an enormous 2-day

program for exhibitors.

Promising plenty of action; it is a spectacle some out of town

visitors may have never seen before.

Hosted in conjunction with the Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo

and Australian Professional Rodeo Association (APRA) Rodeo

School and including prize money for those taking out the top

honours on the night, the MineX Man v Beast Closing Function

will take place at Kalkadoon Arena, Buchanan Park May 14.

Commercial exhibitors of MineX will be entitled to two tickets.
