Modular Rates provide page impact, standardization
The Silhouette is the official student newspaper of Garden City Community College and is entering its 20th year of production. The Silhouette serves a campus with more than Full color is available for only an additional $50 per ad, no matter what size.
Selling ad modules, portions of a page, increases the value of the advertisement. It’s no longer a commodi-ty (no. columns x depth), it becomes a menu of choic-es allowing you to get results at a price you can afford.There are many benefits to modular advertising. Here are just a few advantages to modular: the newspaper looks better, is easier to read and paid ads look better
because they fit together better on the page; pricing simplicity: ads are charged on the “whole ad price” – no more rates per inch; a simple menu of ad sizes with prices for each; and portability: since modular ads represent portions of a page, the ad sized for tab and broadsheet correspond since they occupy the same percentage of the page.

InsertsPre-printed inserts are accepted upon prior approval. The minimum number of inserts accepted is 2,500. Pre-printed inserts must be no larger than 11”x13” and no smaller than 8.5”x11”. Inserts larger than spec-ified will be subject to a folding charge.
No brokered inserts allowed. Reservation is required five office days prior to insertion. *Inserts must be de-livered no later than three office days in advance of the actual publication date.

Pre-printed front-page ad notes are accepted upon prior approval. The minimum number of ad notes accepted is 2,500. Pre-printed ad notes must be no larger than 3”x3”.

GC3Media.com is the online source for student media at Garden City Community College. Our homepage features a thumbnail image of a PDF that links to the current print version of the Silhouette newspaper and Breakaway magazine, allowing any-one with internet access and delivering your online ad to parents, alumni and friends of GCCC.
