The syllabusfor written examination will be of the minimum education standard prescribed for each categorycovering all the topics mentioned in their curriculum and also general topics. 9. Mode of Selectionand Examination Schedule. All eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test. Citizenship15. A candidate must be in a sound mental and bodilyhealth and free from any physical illness which is likely to interfere with the efficient discharge of his/her duties. A candidate, who, after such medical examination as may be prescribed by the competent
authority, is found not to satisfy these requirements will not be appointed. Only such candidates asare likely to be considered for appointment will be medically examined. The candidate has to bedeclared medically fit for field service by the competent medical authority. HOW TO APPLY: 25.Candidates must apply in the application format published alongwith this advertisement and fill upall the columns in their own hand in block letters. Candidate may also apply on plain paper but theformat should exactly be the same as published in the advertisement. 26. Applications on formatsother than the one indicated will be summarily rejected. 27. If any wrong entries are made by thecandidates in the application form, their applications shall be rejected and the Deptt will not beresponsible for such rejection. No representation against such rejection will be entertained. 28.Application filled in on the format used for previous recruitment or some other advertisement will notbe considered. The candidates should further note that Application Form will NOT be supplied bythe Dept. 29. Applications on the prescribed format should be submitted alongwith the documents /certificates given below:- (a) Two self addressed envelopes of size 28 cm x 12 cm with postage stampof Rs 27/- affixed on each envelope. (b) Admit Card for Written Test. The admit card for written testshall be submitted in duplicate as per format duly affixed with self attested pass port size photographin the space provided for and by duly filling Ser No 1 to 3, alongwith the application form. Meresubmission of admit card does not imply or convey any assurance that the candidate will be calledfor the written test or personal interview. (c) Admit Card for Practical Test/Interview. The admit cardfor practical test/interview shall also be submitted in duplicate as per format duly affixed with selfattested pass port size photograph in the space provided for and by duly filling Ser No 1 to 3,alongwith the application form. (d) Self attested photocopies of educational qualification certificates,caste certificate and certificates in support of any claim / relaxation (wherever applicable) are to beenclosed with the application. 30. Certificates to be Attached. Candidates should ensure that they
should attach with their application self attested copies of the following documents:- (a) Matriculationor equivalent certificate in support of their declaration of age. (b) Education qualification certificates.(c) If the qualification possessed by the candidate is equivalent, then the authority (which ever isapplicable) under which it has been so treated must be indicated. (d) An attested copy of a certificatein support of any claim / relaxation (wherever applicable) in the prescribed form issued by thecompetent authority (original to be produced at the time of interview/Practical Test). (e) Certificate(s) from the Head(s) or Organisation(s) / Department(s) for the entire experience claimed, clearlymentioning the duration of employment (date, month & year) indicating the basic pay and consolidatedpay. The certificate(s) should also mention the nature of duties performed / experience obtained inthe posts(s) with durations(s) 31. Advisory. Written exams are likely to be conducted on the samedate all over India (in all regions). Hence it is advised that candidates apply only for their preferredplace/location to the designated recruiting authority. 32. Name of the post i.e. Storekeeper-II Draftsman,Peon, CMD(OG), Chowkidar, Safaiwala, Mate (specify trade) alongwith category (UR/SC/ST/OBC/PH) must be clearly written in BLOCK CAPITAL letters on the top of envelope. 33. The full postaladdress of the Recruiting Authority to whom application alongwith documents as specified above forthe various categories are to be forwarded is given as at Para 11 and 12 above. 34. Candidateswhose applications are found to be complete in all respect along with all necessary documents andfound eligible only will be called for written test. 35. Candidates will not be entitled to any TA/DA forattending the written test & interview. 36. Applications received after last date due to postal delay orany other reason will be summarily rejected. The Recruiting Agency will not be responsible for anypostal delay in respect of any communication. Note I. Candidates should note that only the dateof birth as recorded in the matriculation, Higher secondary examination certificate will only be
accepted. Note II. Application not accompanied by attested photograph, attested copies of civileducation certificates or incomplete application form and/or not conforming to the above requirementswill be summarily rejected and applicants will have no claim whatsoever. Note III. Originalcertificates should not be sent with the application. These should be produced at the time ofinterview. Action against Candidates Found Guilty of Misconduct: 37. Candidates are warned thatthey should not furnish any particulars that are false or suppress any material information in filling upthe application form. Candidates are also warned that they should in no case tamper with entry in adocuments or its attested /certified copy submitted by them nor should they submit a tampered/fabricated documents. If there is any inaccuracy or any discrepancy between two or more suchdocuments or their attested /certified copies, an explanation regarding the discrepancy should besubmitted. 38. A candidate who is or has been declared by the Deptt to be guilty of the acts/omissionsspecified above including attempt to commit, or abetting, as the case may be, of all or any of the actsspecified in the under mentioned clauses may, in addition to rendering himself / herself liable tocriminal prosecution, will also be liable:- (a) To be disqualified by the Deptt from selection for whichhe/she is a candidate, and /or (b) To be debarred either permanently or for a specified period:- (i) Bythe Deptt from any examination or selection held by them. (ii) By the Central Government from anyemployment under them, and (iii) If he/she is already in service under Government to disciplinaryaction under the appropriate rules. 39. The acts/omissions which will invite the prosecution mentionedin Para above are:- (a) Obtaining support of his/her candidature by any means, or (b) Impersonating,or (c) Procuring impersonation by any person, or (d) Submitting fabricated documents or documentswhich have been tampered with, or (e) Making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressingmaterial information, or (f) Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for the selection (g) Using unfair means during the test, or (h) Writing irrelevantmatter including obscene language or pornographic matter, in the scripts(s), or (j) Misbehaving inany other manner in the examination hall, or (k) Harassing or doing bodily harm to the staff employedby the Deptt for the conduct of their test, or (l) Bringing mobile phone/communication device in theexamination hall / interview room. (m) Canvassing in any form. Instructions for DepartmentalCandidates / Govt Employees 40. Persons already in Government service, whether in permanent ortemporary capacity or as work charge employees other than casual or daily rated employees arerequired to submit the application through proper channel. However, their candidature will besubject to receipt of application by due date. 41. Persons already in Military Engineer Service,whether in permanent or temporary capacity other then casual or daily rated employees are notrequired to submit the application through proper channel. The date for determining the eligibilityof all candidates in every respect shall be the normal closing date prescribed for receipt of application.Additional Information and General Instructions for All Candidates. 42. Candidates must read theinstructions mentioned in the preceding paras before filling the Application Form. He must fill theform strictly according to the instructions. 43. Merely fulfilling the basic selection criteria one doesnot automatically entitle to be called for test /interview. 44. Candidates will be informed of the result of tapplications in due course and any interim enquiries about the result are therefore, unnecessarywill not be attended to. If there are candidhaving the same aggregate marks in the written examination, practical test and interview, thetie is resolved by referring to the total marks in the written examination, i.e., a candidates hamore marks in the written examination gets preference over the candidates having the same aggremarks. This procedure is followed by Date of Birth, i.e., the candidate older in age gets prefereLastly, if the tie still persists, the tie is finally resolved by referring to the alphabetical order of nami.e., a candidate whose name begins with the alphabet which comes first in the alphabetical ogets preference.

Introduction: Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are widely used in both electrical and electronic equipmentand appliances as they provide a base on which other components can be easily mounted. PCB circuitsare quite reliable as there are few interconnecting wires and all the components are firmly mounted. Itis possible to quickly design the PCB required for a circuit and then fabricate it. Testing and repairs arefacilitated as all the points on the PCB are easily accessible. Printed Circuit Boards consists of aninsulating substrate. Metal is deposited or clad upon that. The insulating materials usually used arefiberous sheet material like cellulose, paper, glass or nylon impregnated with a thermosetting resinbinder and then consolidated under high temperature and pressure into solid sheets. The metal used isgenerally copper. They are used to transmit power from one end to another and so are used in allelectronic equipment. However, design, size, weight of printed circuit board changes application toapplication. Printed circuit boards are normally classified in two groups (a) rigid, (b) flexible type.Flexible type of PCB are designed as per individual applications while rigid type of PCB are used invarious applications. There are three types of rigid PCB- (1) Single sided printed circuit board (2)Double sided printed circuit board (3) Multi-layer printed circuit board. Its introduction years ago marked
a significant step forward in the advancement of circuits, providing firm and reliable support for alljtheresistors, capacitors, inductors and thermionic values used, later to be followed by transistor and integratedcircuits. The PCB also brought and built in automatic system of interconnection that was achievedwithout the traditional birds nest of wires, often too easily connected to wrong points in the circuits. Themethod of interconnection was extremely reliable and easy to follow when tracing a faulty component,and its fixed pattern meant that every circuit of the same type was interconnected in exactly the sameway. Post-production faults caused by wrongly routed wires, for example were eliminated and thecompleted assembly was much lighter, more manageable and easier to assembly version of its hardwired counterpart. Uses and Applications: The Printed Circuit Boards are largely used by manufacturersof electronics component like T.V. Sets, Transistor sets, Radio, amplifiers, ampligrams, stereo amplifiers,voltage stabilizers, calculators, telecommunication equipment, power suppliers, public addressequipments, computers and also by defence and other research establishments. np In the latest types ofPCB, the component connecting leads, when present, are specially shaped usually like a small foot. Sothat they can be mounted on the same side as the copper tracks and are soldered directly to them. Thisavoids a lot of expensive drilling and through board track interconnection, but more important it allowsthe use of surface mounting devices (SMDs) which are usually much smaller and potentially cheaperthan their traditional counterparts and allow much greater component packing density. The mostpopular components to appear is SMD form are capacitors and resistors. These are small rectangularshaped blocks whose ends are capped with metal to form an all round connection for each internalelectrode. There are no connecting wires. When mounted on PCB their leaders components are lightlyglad to the board to hold them in place, and their end caps straddle and sit on two separate conductortracks. The end caps are then soldered to the tracks to form the connection. This method of mounting canbe carried out manually, but is more usually carried out using semi- or fully automatic componentinsertion machines. Process of Manufacture:As stated earlier, PCB is a board of insulating material which is given a coating of conducting materialsuch as copper/gold. This conducting material is removed or etched away from certain places so as toform conducting and insulating paths as required. Holes are grilled through the board at desired pointsso that components may be mounted through them. As it is necessary to fabricate a wide variety ofcircuits, it becomes essential to have a technique by which the etching of the copper layer can be doneboth accurately and quickly. This is done by giving a coating of either silk screen ink, liquid photoresistor dry film photoresist over areas which are not to be etched. These areas will be required to formconducting paths in the final circuit.
