About this Presentation

• Effective use of technology and equipment – this is not about using as much fancy stuff as possible.

• Practical ideas and principles – no discussion of advanced, expensive items you cannot access.

This presentation was developed as part of core unit TAEDEL 401A in the Australian VET course, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. It expands ‘Using technology and equipment’ on p. 47 in the participant workbook for the unit.

Equipment and Technology Must Serve Learning Goals

Don’t use it …unless…

It helps your learners gain required knowledge and skills

• Vary your use of equipment and technology. • Relying solely on presentation slides sends

your learners to sleep!

• Do you need your learners to bring their own equipment?

• Make this clear prior to the session. • Be prepared for some to forget.
