Confidential and Proprietary Information of Feed Resource Recovery
Empower our customers with innovative and efficient solutions to eliminate waste management.
Mission Statement
Waste 2.0 | present- solutions to meet environmental targets - haulers still control the resources and dictate pricing - no significant reduction in costs
Confidential and Proprietary Information of Feed Resource Recovery
Waste 3.0 | future- existing waste infrastructure is outdated and costly- vertically integration creates value- simplicity and feedback loops improve recycling rates- waste costs and environmental footprint decline
Waste 1.0 | past- haulers control resources and dictate pricing- resources are sent to landfill
Waste 3.0 | Future of Waste

1 FEEDSTOCKFood that cannot be sold or donated is collected at Ralphs and Food4Less supermarkets and returned to the Compton distribution center.
2 DILUTIONWastewater diverted from the adjacent food manufacturing plant is recycled—providing the hot water necessary to run the Recovery System.
5 PURIFICATIONRefinement during the digestion process creates a clean water that can be recycled back into the system or discharged to the sanitary sewer.
6 BIOGASThis renewable fuel is converted into electricity, steam and heat. The clean energy offsets a significant portion of the distribution center’s energy demand.
3 BLENDINGFeedstock (biodegradable material) entering the Recovery System is liquified and non-biodegradable material (glass, metal, plastic) is removed.
4 DIGESTIONA natural, anaerobic (without oxygen) process converts the carbon of the liquid feedstock into a clean and renewable fuel called biogas.
7 FERTILIZERAfter the digestion process, the remaining minerals and organic solids are dewatered, producing a natural and nutrient-rich fertilizer.
0 LABORATORYWeb-based software monitors and controls all biological and mechanical processes, optimizing the system’s health and performance.
