MITAD DE CUARESMA, ¡REGISTRATE! Dios dice a Moisés, “Yo soy el que soy. Explícaselo así a los israelitas: ‘Yo soy’ me envía a ustedes’. El Señor, el Dios de sus antepasados, el Dios de Abrahán, el Dios de Isaac, el Dios de Jacob” (Éxodo 3:14, 15). It can take many forms – cruel direct messages, threatening emails, mean texts, shared photos, and more. Victims of cyber-bullying often suffer from anxiety and depression, and their self-esteem can be diminished. They may be reluctant to talk about bullying, so parents need to be on top of all their children’s online activities. Asking questions and getting information about popular apps and sites will help, too. MID-LENT CHECK-IN God says to Moses, “This is what you shall tell the Israelites: I AM sent me to you . . . The LORD, the God of your [ancestors], the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob” (Exodus 3:14, 15). As Jesus would later say, God is not a God of the dead, but of the living, and so we believe that the dead will one day rise. At this midpoint of Lent, we pause to consider how our repentance is leading us to the Resurrection, to our reunion with the great “I AM.” Part of our repentance involves working to secure justice for all and helping our neighbor to live in God’s ways. We encourage each other and nurture each other, like the compassionate gardener of today’s Gospel, who tells the owner of the orchard that he will nurture the tree,

2. También; a veces necesitan una carta para asuntos legales y si no están registrados no hay fundamento para escribirla. En algunas ocasiones se les puede ayudar porque fueron padrinos de bautismo y se encuentra la infor-mación en los récords de la parroquia.

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! All young people of High School age are invited to attend City of Saints Teen Conference from August 2-4, 2019 at UCLA. The conference is hosted by Archbishop Jose Gomez. It is a wonderful, local, opportunity for young people to engage in their faith and leave empowered to live as saints within their communities. Cost is $225 per participant and includes housing, meals, and conference registration. Scholarships are also available. If you are interested in attending, please contact Victor Veloz or Jesus Mancilla by leaving a message at the parish office.

WE CORDIALLY INVITE THE PARISH FAMILIES TO REGISTER 1. It is important to plan your
donation to the parish to help in the parish work of evangelization. For example the religious education program, although the families pay a fee for their child, the main costs are covered by the generosity of the parishioners through their Sunday offering.
2. Also, sometimes there is a need of a letter for legal matters and if you are not registered there are no informational facts available to write it. In some cases we are able to help because you may have been godparents to a child for Baptism and the information is located in our parish records.
3. The donations made to the parish are tax deductible and useful for your yearly tax returns.
4. Your information is confidential and is not shared with any agency.
5. The envelopes are dated for each Sunday of the year including special dates.
