with Elected Positions
NFEC Trustee Charles Hickey has been elected president of the board of trustees for Western Farmers Electric Cooperative, while General Manager Scott Copeland now serves as the Oklahoma Association of Electric Coopera-tives’ vice-president.
Hickey was elected president during WFEC’s annual meeting in April. He has served as vice-president for the past several years.
Western Farmers’ board is comprised of trustees representing the more than 20 electric co-ops in Oklahoma and New Mexico who own the generation and transmission co-op head-
quartered in Anadarko. They are each elected to the WFEC board by their distribution co-op trustees.

REPORT OF THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE NORTHFORK ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC.
It shall be the duty of the Board of Trustees to appoint, not less than ninety (90) nor more than one-hundred fifty (150) days prior to the date of a meeting of the members at which trustees are to be elected, a Committee on Nominations, consisting of not less than three (3) nor more than nine (9) persons who are members of the Co-operative, but are not incumbent trustees or close relatives of such trustees or known candidates to become trustees. The Committee shall prepare and post at the principal office of the Cooperative at least sixty (60) days prior to the meeting a list of nomina-tions for trustees to be elected, listing separately the nominee or nominees with re-spect to each position to be elected at the meeting. Any fifteen (15) or more members of the Cooperative, acting together, may make additional nominations in writing over their signature, in like manner showing clearly which Committee-nominated candi-date is being opposed, not less than forty-five (45) days prior to the meeting, and the Secretary shall verify that at least fifteen (15) of the signing members are in good standing with the Cooperative and that the nominee is in good standing and qualifies to serve as trustee for the district for which he/she is nominated.
The first order of business was the election of a Chairman and Secretary of the meeting. Jimmy Wayne Smith was nominated and elected as Chairman and Bandy Silk was nominated and elected as Secretary of the meeting.
The Chairman then stated that the purpose of the meeting was to nominate members of the Cooperative as candidates for Trustees of the Cooperative for the year beginning in Au-gust, 2016 for a term of three (3) years for Trustee positions numbered one (1) and two (2).
The Chairman stated that the selected nominee(s) of the Committee would be presented at the annual meeting of Northfork as candidate(s) for the Board of Trustee positions designated. The meeting is to be 12478-001 held at the Sayre Municipal Park on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Additional nominations for each trustee position may be made by the membership as provided in the Bylaws.
Nominations for Trustee positions numbered one (1) and two (2) were then discussed and received. A determination was made that the nominee(s) were members in good standing and resided in the directorial district for which they were nominated. The following nominations were then approved:
Trustee position No. 1: Lloyd Joe Patton Trustee position No. 2: Larry Smith
The Secretary then delivered the report of the Nominating Committee to the Cooperative attorney, Brendon S. Atkinson, for delivery to the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, post-ing at the Northfork Headquarters and mailing to the membership by means of the Sparks & Flashes.
There being no further business upon motion made and approved, the meeting was ad-journed.
The Nominating Committee of Northfork Electric Cooperative, Inc. (‘Northfork’) met on May 6, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. in the boardroom of the Northfork Headquarters in Sayre, Okla-homa.
The following members of the Nominating Committee were present: Greg Bachman, Bandy Silk, Jerry D. Sanders, Jimmy Wayne Smith, Mike McGuire and Don Head.

Correct Addresses Needed for Patronage Capital StatementsAs a member of NFEC, you are entitled to a pro-rated share of any profit made by the co-op based on your
yearly patronage to the cooperative’s Federal Taxable Income. Each year, the board of trustees examines the fi-nancial condition of the cooperative to determine if capital credits will be refunded. In order to assure you receive communication regarding your patronage capital, we must have your correct 911 mailing address. 2 Tbsp. pitted Kalamata olives, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil3 med. tomatoes, each cut into 4
1/4-inch thick slices (reserve any extra for another use)
1/2 tsp. Kosher salt1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pep-
per1 8-oz. ball fresh mozzarella, cut
Caprese Stacks
Green Tomato Mayonnaise
1/2 cup mayonnaise1 (7- to 8-oz.) green tomato, cored
Stir together mayonnaise, tomato, basil leaves, chives, and Dijon mus-tard. Serve immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container up to 5 days.
Great on grilled hamburgers!
Preheat oven to 425°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment. In a small bowl, combine Parmesan, oregano, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add olive oil and stir to form a moist mixture.
Arrange tomato slices on baking sheet and spoon a heaping 1/2 tsp. Parmesan mixture on top of each slice, dividing evenly. Use your finger-tips to press into an even layer. Bake until tomatoes are soft and topping begins to brown, about 20 minutes. Serve hot or warm.
In a small bowl, stir together olives and oil.
Place a slice of tomato on each of the 4 small plates; sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Top each with a slice of mozzarella, then a basil leaf. Repeat layering one more time. Top each stack with a slice of tomato and garnish with basil leaves.
Drizzle olive dressing over each stack. Serve immediately.

Northfork Electric Coopera-tive recently held a poster contest for area 3rd, 4th and 5th graders to celebrate National Lineman Appre-ciation Day. Talent and competition were strong, with 346 entries sub-mitted from seven school districts across the cooperative’s service territory.
This year’s winners are (by school): Canute Elementary – Brody Bryant and Isaac Snowder; Merritt Elementary – Macki Su-anny and Peytyn Broadbent; Erick Elementary – Chris Reeves and Staten Strickland; Grandview El-ementary – Bailey Stejskal and Ro-drigo Martinez; Hammon Elemen-tary – Madelynn Byrd and Quinby Rainey; Sweetwater Elementary – Abby Watson and Kiera Coslow; Sentinel Elementary – Kayla Ann Jones.

Reed Completes Journeyman Certification Program
Following a four-year program, NFEC Lineman Michael Reed has earned his journeyman certification.
Sponsored by the Oklahoma As-sociation of Electric Cooperatives, the program provides instruction in all aspects of working in the co-op’s operations department. It meets both national and state certification requirements.
