Kendall lives in Unionville and is in the 8th grade at Prospect Heights Middle School in Orange. Her mother, Martha, is an employee of Dogwood Village. Meet Sara Drebes! Sara was recently recognized by the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce as the Young Professional of the Year for her work in further developing youth and young adults in the Culpeper community. As a WIOA (Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act) Youth Case Manager, Sara works to provide employment assistance through paid internships and financial assistance for training after high school. She also recently co-founded The Groundwork Project. This joint venture between Rappahannock Goodwill Industries and Verdun Adventure Bound is a leadership development and career readiness program for 16-24 year olds.
Sara has always enjoyed working with youth and was a teacher for ten years serving part of her tenure in the Dominican Republic. In returning to the United States she came across the opportunity with Rappahannock Goodwill Industries in the Culpeper Workforce Center and it seemed like a natural fit. “I enjoy collaborating with co-workers and local businesses to help young people achieve their career goals” Sara said. Sara is also involved with YoungLives, Career Partners, and Local Inter-agency Transition Council.
