THROUGH HIM, WITH HIM, IN HIM
As some of us begin again at public celebrations of Mass and as
others continue to join in by livestream, we all have an
opportunity to relearn the Mass from its most essential elements.
I ask your understanding as we begin the public celebrations of
Mass very simply, much as we have celebrated the Mass
without a live congregation over the past couple of months.
There is an eagerness, which I understand, to experience the
Mass with the full array of ministers, processions, singing, etc.
But we are going to begin simply, in order to get used to the new situation we
find ourselves in and the requirement this situation imposes on us.

Let me offer some spiritual insight about the Mass. Remember that the action of
the Mass is the action of Jesus Christ offering Himself in sacrificial love to the
Father for our salvation. We participate at Mass by joining ourselves to Jesus'
selfoffering of sacrificial love. This is primarily an internal act of our will: a
loving choice. This participation of our hearts in the offering of Christ to the
Father is then manifested in external actions, but they are secondary.

Let's get our hearts ready first in order to offer ourselves "through Him, with
Him, and in Him." The simplicity of our celebrations might even help us get our
hearts ready!

celebraciones podría incluso ayudarnos a preparar nuestros corazones!

Fielmente,

Amen.
Come Holy Sprit
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth
your Spirit and they shall be created.
And You shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us Pray: O, God, who by the light of the Holy
Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful,
grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be
truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations,
Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

HOMEBOUND DURING THE PANDEMIC!
Greetings, from the Homebound Ministry! It has been quite a surreal time this
past couple of months. All of us now know what it is like to be
homebound. The Saint Rose Homebound Ministry has been acutely aware of
this because it is our ministry.Being homebound is something that no one
expects in their lifetime.
This pandemic has opened my eyes to many things I had taken for granted. It
has made me more cognizant of the logistics of finding food and supplies when
limited sources are available. In the future, I hope to be more prepared for
emergencies. Emergency cell numbers and alternate ways of communicating
are important. Keeping car repairs up to date and the car filled with
fuel. During this time, I have noted the importance of staying in touch with
loved ones. It becomes exceedingly easy to isolate and just accept what is
going on around us. TV, radio, computers, and cell phones become almost like
family members. Remember, many of our parishioners do not have these
things. Please make a call to a neighbor or homebound friend to check on
them. The loneliness during this time of isolation and the inability to go
anywhere is very painful.
The Homebound Ministry has been praying for all the homebound during this
pandemic. Not being able to deliver Holy Communion has been exceedingly
difficult. We pray this part of the diocesan pandemic rules will become lax as
time progresses. It probably will, but, not before it is considered safe for all the
parishioners at home and for all the homebound ministers. The ministry’s love
and prayers for the homebound have continued throughout this stayathome
venture. We are not able to see you at the present time, but we think of you
daily.
Thank you to the food pantry, the Saint Rose office and all the volunteers who
have delivered food and supplies as well as the cards and prayers, to the
Homebound of St. Rose.If there is anything you need, please continue to call
the St. Rose office at 6158931843.
May God continue to abundantly bless you all.

MASS REMINDERS BASED ON DIOCESAN GUIDLINES
Bring your smartphone or tablet to use during Mass for the Liturgy Guide.
Hymnals and paper Liturgy Guides will not be available.
Parishioners are required to wear a mask while in the church building.
Please follow the instructions of the Mass Attendants; they are here to help.
Per diocesan guidelines, households / individuals attending Mass should
remain sixfeet apart.
During communion, one row at a time will be released by the Attendants to
join the communion line. This is in order to prevent bunching.
Those who need communion brought to them should remain in their pew
and a priest will bring them communion after mass is over.
The Bishop strongly encourages parishioners to receive communion in the
hand.
During this time, online giving is the preferred method for contributing to the
church, but if you wish to contribute by cash or check, a collection basket will
be available in the narthex. Collection baskets will not be passed down the
rows.
Please note that there will be no congregational singing, this helps to protect
us all.
After Mass, rows will be released to go one at a time by Mass Attendants.
Parishioners will need to leave after Mass as the church will be cleaned
following every Mass.
Those who are 65+, sick, or those who have any concerns about their health
are encouraged to take advantage of the Bishop’s dispensation to miss
Mass. Those unable to attend Mass are invited to watch the streamed Mass
on Facebook.
