Connect to Multiplier in XPS NOTE: The electrical contact cleaner used must be safe for use on printed circuitassemblies and plastic components, and must not leave residue after cleaning.
1. Use an electrical contact cleaner and a soft lint-free cloth to remove anycontamination from both ends of the electrostatic cable.
2. Remove the cap from the top of the XPS, and remove the plug from the top ofthe multiplier.
3. Cut the tip from the vial of high-voltage dielectric oil.
4. See Figure 5. Pour the dielectric oil into the high-voltage well of the multiplier.
NOTE: Dielectric oil does not contain PCBs.
5. Slowly install the electrostatic cable into the multiplier well. Wipe away any oilthat overflows the well.
6. Secure the electrostatic cable with the connecting nut to the XPS.

Connect to Shuttle Block in Iso-Flo See Figure 6 on how to route and secure the electrostatic cable.
1. Route the Iso-Flo end of the the electrostatic cable (1) through the top of theIso-Flo cabinet.
2. Inside the Iso-Flo cabinet, route the whip end (7) of the electrostatic cablethrough the adapter (5) installed on the bracket (6), and screw thecable fitting (4) to the adapter until finger-tight.
3. Install the strain relief/rubber grommet clamp (2) onto the electrostatic cable attop of Iso-Flo cabinet. Stabilize the strain relief/rubber grommet clamp byloosely installing the gland nut (3) from the inside of the cabinet.
CAUTION: Ensure that the electrostatic cable is routed away from moving partsinside the Iso-Flo cabinet to avoid damage to the cable and other parts.
4. Position the routing of the electrostatic cable down the back of the cabinetagainst the gray PVC enclosure. Pull any excess cable slack to the outside ofthe cabinet. After the cable is properly routed, finger-tighten the gland nut (3).

5. See Figure 7. Install fitting reducer assembly onto the end of the cable whip.
a. Loosen the brass nut (11) and push the cable whip (7) through the brassnut until the cable washer (7A) bottoms out against the fitting reducer (14).
NOTE: The back ferrule (12) and front ferrule (13) will fit loosely over the endof the cable whip until the brass nut is tightened onto the reducer fitting.
b. While keeping the cable washer against the fitting reducer (14), tighten thebrass nut (11) onto the fitting reducer to secure all fittings.
c. Insert the fitting reducer into the lug (10) so that the fitting is up against theend of the machined groove.
d. Tighten the set screw (5) to secure the fitting reducer assembly.
6. See Figure 6. Remove the thumb screw (9) from the bottom shuttle block (8).
7. Align the mounting holes between the lug and the bottom shuttle block, andsecure with the thumb screw.
CAUTION: Check that electrostatic cable is routed away from moving parts insidethe Iso-Flo cabinet to avoid damage to the cable and other parts.

Air TubingSee Figure 9.
1. Remove the 1/4-in. plugs from the bottom of the XPS and side of the Iso-Flocabinet.
2. Install air tubing from elbow at Side B of the Iso-Flo cabinet to the bulkheadfitting at the bottom of the XPS, routing the air tubing behind the regulatormount.
Grounding See Figure 9.
1. Confirm that the pre-installed ground strap is properly connected from Side Aof the Iso-Flo cabinet to position 1 on the ground bus.
2. Connect ground strap installed at position 2 to the bottom of the XPS.
3. Clamp the dolly system ground strap installed at position 4 to true earthground.
WARNING: The paint supply container must be electrically grounded.
4. Clamp ground strap installed at position 3 to the paint supply container.
Additional Installation and Operation WARNING: The Waterborne Iso-Flo Electrostatic Dolly System should be kept atleast one meter from any booth opening.
Refer to the manuals for the Trilogy manual spray gun, the Iso-Flo VC, and theXPS 60 for additional installation and operation instructions.
