1.3 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

A. Diesel generator system, incorporated with paralleling switchgear to provide source of emergency power.

B. System Capacity: as indicated at 0.8 power factor lagging, at sea level and ambient temperature up to 40o C, continuous or prime rating using engine mounted radiator.

C. Operation: In accordance with ANSI/NFPA99

1.4 SUBMITTALS

A. Submit product data indicating unit ratings, dimension and finished.

B. Submit factory test report which shall be performed on each generator set and control panel at manufacturer's factory.

C. Submit shop drawing showing acoustic-treatment of the generator room.

D. Submit shop drawing showing electrical diagrams including schematic and interconnection diagrams.

E. Submit statement of compliance. Any deviation from the basic requirement shall be considered only when it renders more superiority in performance.

1.3 MOÂ TAÛ HEÄ THOÁNG

1.5 PROJECT RECORD DOCUMENT

A. Submit record of supply and installation in Thailand of the generator set with same size and larger.

1.6 OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE DATA

A. Submit operation and maintenance data include instructions for normal operation, routine maintenance requirements , service manuals for engine and day tank, oil sampling and analysis for engine wear, and emergency maintenance procedures.

1.7 QUALIFICATIONS

A. Manufacturer: Company specializing in packaged engine generator system with minimum three years documented experience.

B. Supplier: Authorized distributor of generator in Thailand shall be responsible for providing all service facilities and spare parts.

1.8DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

A. Delivery generator set and accessories to site and the materials shall be accepted on site in crates and verified damage.

1.9 WARRANTY

A. Provide warranty according to the period stated in the Contract Documents.

1.10 MAINTENANCE SERVICE

A. Furnish service and maintenance of packaged engine generator system from Date of Substantial Completion for a warranty period mention.

B. Submit a complete list of spare part, which includes part number, drawing number, current unit prices and source of supply.

C. Submit a list of the genuine spare parts recommended by the manufacturer to be replaced after 3 years of services.

1.11 EXTRA MATERIALS

A. Furnish one set of tools required for preventive maintenance of the engine generator system. Package tools in adequately sized metal tool box.

B. Provide two additional sets of each fuel oil, and air filter element required for the engine generator system.

A. Trang bò dòch vuï vaø baûo trì heä thoáng ñoäng cô maùy phaùt ñieän töø ngaøy hoøan thaønh cho giai ñoïan baûo haønh.

B. Ñöa ra danh muïc hoaøn thieän caùc thieát bò laép raùp, soá baûn veõ, giaù hieän haønh cho töøng vaät lieäu vaø nguoàn goác cung caáp.

C. Nhaø saûn xuaát ñöa ra danh muïc cuûa thieát bò laép raùp ñöôïc ñeà nghò thay theá sau 3 naêm hoaït ñoäng.

2.1 NHAØ SAÛN XUAÁT CHAÁP THUAÄN

NOTE The generator set must be manufactured in completed unit from the original countries, the assembly with no certification from original factory will not acceptable.

2.2 ENGINE GENERATOR SET

A. General : Each generator set shall consist of one engine including one radiator, one exciter and one alternator mounted on a steel base.The voltage regulator, switchgear, and control system, accessories shall be mounted on a control panel. The generator set shall be factory assembled and aligned accurately on the steel base. Which shall be strong and rigid enough to ensure permanent alignment of all rotating units and prevent vibrationbuild up and shall permit skidding in any direction during installation.

B. Rating : Rating shall be as follows:

1. Number of sets required: AS INDICATED

2. Out put not less than: AS INDICATED and shall be prime rating

3. Power factor, lagging : 0.8

4. Speed :1500 rpm.

5. Frequency : 50 HZ.

6. Voltage : 80/220 V. or same as utility power

A. Toång quaùt: moãi maùy phaùt ñieän goàm 1 ñoäng cô, 1 boä taûn nhieät, 1 boä kích töø vaø 1 maùy phaùt ñieän xoay chieàu ñoäng khung treân ñeá theùp. Maùy ñieàu chænh ñieän aùp, coâng taéc, vaø heä thoáng ñieàu khieån, phuï kieän seõ ñöôïc ñoùng khung treân tuû ñieän ñieàu khieån. Maùy phaùt ñieän ñöôïc laép raùp vaø thaúng haøng treân theùp neàn. C. Voltage Regulation : With the engine governing within limit specified above and incorporated with electronic control circuit in automatic voltage regulator, the voltage regulation, at any balanced steady load between no load and full loadat any load power factor from 0.8 to 1 lagging, at any normal service condition of temperature and inclusive of speed variation not exceed 4 1/2 % shall not exceed the limit +/- 0.5% of rated voltage. The instantaneous voltage variation shall be less than 25% of rated voltage when 3phase full load is applied to or removed from the generator set. Recovery to stable operation shall occur within 2 seconds. Other performance deviated from above specified values shall be accepted for consideration only when it renders to the best benefit to the Owner.

D. Frequency Regulation : As defined by engine governor performance.

E. Total Harmonic Content : The line voltage waveform shall have total harmonic content not exceed 3 % of the fundamental under all operating condition.

F. Motor starting an overload capacity equivalent to between 160% and 300% of full load.

Söï bieán thieân ñieän aùp töùc thôøi seõ nhoû hôn 25% tæ leä ñieän aùp khi taûi ñaày pha ñöôïc aùp duïng hay di chuyeån tôùi boä maùy phaùt chieám 2 giaây . Hoaït ñoäng khaùc bò leäch töø treân giaù trò chæ ñònh ñöôïc cho xem xeùt chæ khi ñem laïi lôïi ích cho chuû ñaàu tö.

D. Ñieàu chænh taàn soá: theo tính chaát hoaït ñoäng maùy ñieàu toác.

E. Löôïng ñieàu hoøa tuyeät ñoái : Soùng ñieän aùp coù löôïng ñieàu hoøa tuyeät ñoái khoâng vöôït quaù 3% giaù trò cô baûn theo taát caû ñieàu kieän hoïat ñoäng.

F. Ñoäng cô khôûi ñoäng 1 coâng suaát quaù taûi töông ñöông giöõa 160% vaø 300% cuûa taûi ñaày.

G. Hoaït ñoäng maùy phaùt ñieän.

1. Maùy phaùt ñieän hoaøn thieän seõ ñaùp öùng hay vöôït quaù tieâu chuaån hoaït ñoäng sau:Ñieàu chænh ñieän aùp + 0.5% Ñieän aùp ñònh möùc.

G. Generator set performance

1. The completed generator set shall meet or exceed the following performance criteria:Voltage regulation shall be + 0.5 percent rated voltage.

Steady state voltage stability + 0.5 percent rated voltage.

Maximum voltage dip with step application of rated continuous engine generator rating at 0.8 power factor not to exceed 20 percent.

Voltage recovery time with step application of rated continuous engine generator rating at 0.8 power factor not to exceed 4 seconds.

Balanced telephone interference factor (TIF) shall not exceed 50.

Frequency regulation from no load to full load adjustable from isochronous to 5 percent.

Steady state frequency stability shall be + 0.25 HZ

Generator set shall be capable of start-up and accepting rated load within 10 seconds.

2.3 ENGINE

A. Type : Engine shall be a general purpose continuous service diesel for stationary applicationsThe engine shall be the standard product of the manufacturer, a current production model complete with all auxiliaries normally furnished, and shall provide sufficient power to drive the coupled alternator. The engine shall be compression ignition type, watercooled turbo - charged with or without intercooler, 4 stroke cycle, direct injection high pressure Common-Rail injection system, multi cylinder, V Congeal 90o type with removable cylinder liner, designed for

Maùy phaùt ñieän coù khaû naêng khôûi ñoäng vaø nhaän taûi troïng ñònh möùc trong 10 giaây.

2.3 ÑOÄNG CÔ

A. Loaïi: laø moät ñoäng cô chaïy baèng diesen lieân tuïc ñeå ñaùp öùng coá ñònh. Ñoäng cô laø saûn phaåm tieâu chuaån cuûa nhaø saûn xuaát, laø kieåu saûn phaåm hieän haønh hoaøn thieän bình thöôøng vaø cung caáp ñieän ñaày ñuû ñeå ñeå phaùt ra doøng ñieän xoay chieàu. Ñoäng cô laø loaïi ñaùnh löûa neùn, naïp ñieän baèng tuabin coù hay khoâng coù thuøng laøm laïnh beân trong, chu trình 4 thì, heä thoáng phun chung – Heä pittoâng, xylanh ña keânh, loaïi congeal V 900 coù lôùp loùt xylanh thaùo rôøi, ñöôïc thieát keá cho coâng trình coâng nghieäp.

B. Maùy ñieàu toác: toác ñoä ñoäng cô ñöôïc ñieàu khieån baèng maùy ñieàu toác ñieän ñeå duy trì toác ñoä taïi thôøi gian baèng nhau roõ

industrial use.

B. Governor : The engine speed shall be governed by an electronic governor to maintain governed speed at precise isochronous control for 1500 rpm operation. The governor shall provide adjustable speed setting 10 % and permit automatic parallel operation and load sharing with other generator set. The frequency at any constant load including no load shall remain within a steady state band width of +/- 0.25 % of rated frequency . Application and removal of rated load shall allow in transientfrequency change not exceeding 10 % and recover to 3 % change within 10 seconds. Other performance deviated from above specified values shall be accepted for consideration only when it renders to the best benefit to the Owner.

C. Turbocharger: Shall be of the turbine type driven by exhaust gas from the engine cylinders and direct -connected to a blower that supplies air to the engine intake manifolds. The turbocharger shall be pressure - lubricated. All necessary supports and connections shall be provided.

D. Intercoolers : For cooling the intake air from turbochargers shall be of the tubular heat exchanger type. All necessary intercoolingequipment including valves, controls and integral piping shall be provided.

E. Vibration Limitation : The engine generator set shall be equipped with vibration absorber to be free of damaging flexural vibrations and dangerous torsional critical speed.

F. Fuel System : Shall consist of a storage

C. Boä naïp ñieän: laø loïai tubin ñöôïc truyeàn baèng khí thaûi töø xy lanh ñoäng cô vaø keát noái tröïc tieáp ñeán quaït gioù cung caáp khí ñeán ñöôøng oáng phaân phoái cho ñoäng cô. Boä naïp ñieän ñöôïc boâi trôn aùp suaát.

1. Fuel Storage Tank : Shall have the capacity of 7,000 Litre and location shown on the Drawings. As a minimum, the tank shall include a fill pipe, vent pipe, fuel gauge and an overflow return line from the day tank. Tank protective coating shall be provided.

2. Fillpoint calimate : Shall be wall mounted type consist of 2- BSP valve, contents gavge, will alarm and shall be installed where the oil truck accessible.

3. Fuel Transfer Pump : An electric, motor driven, automatic transfer pump shall be utilized to pump fuel from the storage tank to day tank. The pump shall be controlled by high and low level switches in the day tank., the pump shall be explosion proof.

4. Fuel Filtering System : Shall consist of a strainer, located between the storage tank and fuel transfer pump and a duplex filter, located between the engine fuel pump and the engine. The filtering system shall be easily accessible for quick and easy replacement of the filter element and cleaning of the strainer.

5. Day Tank : Shall be mounted on non combustible supports near the engine to provide an immediate fuel supply to the engine fuel pump and shall be situated so that the fuel level in the day tank above the engine injection pump. A flexible suction line to the engine, an excess fuel return line from the engine to the day tank, a vent, a drain pipe, an overflow return line to the bulk m storage tank and high-low transfer pump shall be completely provided. 6. Engine Fuel Pump : Shall be a positive displacement, engine driven pump capable of supplying an adequate quantity of fuel to the engine under all operational conditions. Solenoid shut-off valve in fuel discharge line shall be interlocked emergency shutdown circuitry., the pump shall be explosion proof.

7. Leak Detection System : Storage tank shall be monitored by leak detection system which indicates by audible and visual alarms the occurrence of a leak in any part of either tank shell.

8. Level Monitoring: Storage tank and day tank shall be monitor by level monitoring system and interface to SCADA system.

G. Lubrication : The engine shall be provided with a complete lubricating oil system, pressurized by an engine-driven oil pump. A relief valve for oil pressure regulation and a gauge or dip-stick for oil level indication shall be furnished.

1. Filtering : Full flow oil filters with replaceable element including a spring loaded bypass valve to ensure oil circulation, if filter are clogged, conveniently located for servicing, shall be provided.

2. Oil Cooling : An oil cooler, if necessary shall be incorporated within the lubricating system.

H. Engine Cooling System : Shall be water cooled, pressurized system having sufficient capacity for cooling the engine during engine operation at full load at ambient temperature 40o C. 1. 2. Exhaust muffler : Shall be of the chamber typeconstructed of welded steel. Each muffler shall be provided with eyebolts, lugs, flanges, or other items necessary for mounting. Pressure drop through the muffler shall not exceed the recommendations of the engine manufacturer. Outside mufflers shall be zinc coated.

3. Exhaust Silencer Critical Type : Shall reduce the exhaust sound spectrum between low frequency band (20-75 HZ.) and high frequency band (4,800-10 KHZ) to below 37-40 dB, used full engine load.

4. Exhaust System Installation : The exhaust piping shall be securely supported, prevented from rain entering the outlet pipe and shall incorporate a condenser trap and drain valve in exhaust piping. All part of the exhaust system shall be insulated with sufficient non-flammable insulation covering to prevent heat dissipation and burns from accidental contact.

5.Maximum Allowable silence pressure drop 2 Kpa

K. Starting System : The engine shall be equipped with an electric starting system which is arranged for fully automatic starting upon the failure of any phase of the main power supply.

1.Battery : The storage battery shall be a lead acid, sealed-in plastic for maintenance free type complete with battery rack and intercell connectors. The battery shall be of sufficient capacity, at ambient temperature of 40o C. to provide at least 4 cranking periods of 30 seconds each, with 2-minute rest between cranks.

2. Battery Charger : A current-limiting battery charger shall be furnished to automatically recharge the batteries. The charger shall be capable of a high charge

L. Piping and Fittings : Pipe anchors, pipesleeves, Plates, flashing and flexible pipe connector shall be provided for pipe installation.

M. Safety System:

1. Shutdown controls : The engine shall equipped with automatic safety controls, switches and circuitry which shutdown the engine and open the generator circuit breaker immediately, in the event of low lubricating oil pressure, high jacket - water temperature, engine overspeed and engine underspeed.

2. Alarm System : The safety systemincorporate visual-audio alarm signals that become operational before engine shutdown and corresponding device activates.

2.4 ALTERNATOR

A. Construction : The alternator shall be directly coupled to the engine flywheel through a flexible driving disc for positive alignmentThe alternator housing shall be bolted directly to the engine flywheel housing and shall have single or double bearing, prepacked with lubricant, support for the rotor which shall be statically and dynamically balanced. Foot mounting and lifting points shallarranged around the center of gravity. The alternator shall be protected and enclosed in drip-proof casing with balanced cooling fan.

B. Excitation : The field excitation shall be performed by a rotating three phase AC exciter and a brushless rotating silicon diode rectifier with surge protector assembly mounted on the rotor shaft. Constant output voltage control shall be achieved transistorized automatic voltage regulator which adjusts the exciter field current to

2.4 MAÙY PHAÙT ÑIEÄN XOAY CHIEÀU

A. Xaây döïng: maùy phaùt ñieän xoay chieàu laø maùy ñoâi ñeán baùnh ñaø ñoäng cô qua ñóa ñeäm meàm cho lieân keát roõ raøng. Voû boïc maùy phaùt ñieän xoay chieàu coù gaén bu loâng tröïc tieáp ñeán baùnh ñaø ñoäng cô vaø coù söùc chòu taûi ñôn vaø ñoâi, ñoùng thuøng chaát boâi trôn tröôùc. Khung chaân vaø ñieåm naâng saép xeáp xung quanh troïng löïc trung taâm. compensate for all variations. The voltage regulator shall maintain the voltage within the limits of plus or minus 0.5 percent from no load to full load.

C. Insulation : The alternator shall be suitably treated for operation under tropical climate. All windings shall be impregnated with epoxy resin of thermosetting insulation vanish to establish class H insulation.

D. Voltage Regulator : Shall be of static solid statetype three phase with silicon diode control. A device for manual adjustment of regulated voltage shall be provided and shall extend a range of 10 percent above and below rated voltage under all operating conditions. A manual automatic switch shall permit selection of manual and automatic control of voltage.

E. Overload Capability : A compound circuit incorporated in the system shall ensure additional excitation during motor starting duties and fault condition.

F. Parallel Operation : Fully inter-connected pole face damping windings shall be incorporated to ensure smooth operation. An automatic load sharing device shall be provided for quadrature current compounding in conjunction with the specified electronic governor to enable generator set to run satisfactorily in parallel with utility.

G. Non-linear Load: The Alternator shall be furnished together with special control system to enable the

H. Radio and Telephone Interference : An appropriated radio, telephone frequency interference and line disturbance suppression circuits shall be provided.

I. Exciter field power shall be provided by a separate to the brushless exciter. Provide sufficient power to the excitations system to produce 250% short circuit from the main operator armature during a three phase fault with sufficient duration for protective devices to operate.

2.5 GENERATOR CONTROL BOARD

A. Generator control board shall be provided which incorporated complete controls for all function of the set. The control board shall be free standing, floor mounting, suitably ventilated, bottom or top entry with front access and constructed with heavy gauge, corrosion resisting material coated steel sheet. Full width lockable hinged door shall be provided to allow an accessibility to all internal and front mounted instruments and components. The control board shall be painted with acrylic stove enamel finish. The wiring in the control board shall be loomed and clipped to a high standard workmanship. All wire and cable end shall be clearly identified with markers. The control board shall contain the

A. Cung caáp baûng ñieàu khieån maùy phaùt ñieän keát hôïp vôùi ñieàu kieän hoaøn taát cho taát caû chöùc naêng maùy phaùt ñieän. Baûng ñieàu khieån ñöùng töï do, gaén saøn, thoâng gioù, loái vaøo ñænh vaø ñaùy coù loái vaøo maët tröôùc vaø ñöôïc xaây döïng coù quy moâ, taám theùp phuû vaät lieäu khaùng ræ. microprocessor incorporated with relays, switching and other devices and necessary wiring shall be provided for fully automatic and manual operation of all generator sets. All devices shall be mounted in each control board. The control system shall comprise of the following features:

A. Manual - Automatic start/stop of each generator sets.

C. Manual - Automatic and manual transfer and retransfer of load.

D. Start delay to prevent unnecessary starting of the set in the event of false main failure or momentary transient break of main supply.

The generator set, control board and transfer switch cubicle shall be assembled and tested at the factory the manufacturer and shall have a certain product range and own type, model number and code.

2.10 SOUND LEVEL CONTROL

Provide sound proof material to control sound level from generator room by keepsound level less than 85 dB, at 1 m. from outside wall.

PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.1 EXAMINATION

A. Verify that surfaces are ready to receive work and field dimensions are as shown on the Drawings.

B. Verify that required utilities are available in proper location and ready for use.

C. Beginning of installation means installer accepts existing conditions.

3.2 INSTALLATION

A. Provide concrete base for all sets. Location and weight of each sets are shown on the Drawings.

B. Install the sets in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.

3.3 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL

A. Field inspection and testing will be performed after completion of the work according to NEMA MG1.

B. Provide full load test utilizing without interruption portable test bank, if required, for four hours minimum. Simulate power failure including operation of transfer switch,

B. Kieåm tra caùc utilities coù söû duïng trong vò trí thích hôïp vaø saün saøng hoaït ñoäng.

C. Baét ñaàu vieäc laép ñaët coù nghóa laø nhaø laép ñaët cung öùng ñoàng yù caùc ñieàu kieän hieän höõu.

3.2 LAÉP ÑAËT

A. Cung caáp neàn beâ toâng cho taát caû boä maùy. Vò trí vaø troïng löôïng cuûa moãi thieát bò ñöôïc chæ trong baûn veõ.

B. Laép thieát bò theo höôùng daãn nhaø saûn xuaát.

3.3 ÑIEÀU KHIEÅN CHAÁT LÖÔÏNG COÂNG TRÖÔØNG

A. Tieán haønh thaåm tra vaø kieåm tra hieän traïng sau khi hoaøn thaønh coâng vieäc theo tieâu chuaån NEMA MG1.

B. Cung caáp ñaày ñuû kieåm tra taûi ñeå khoâng bò giaùn ñoïan ít nhaát 4 giôø. Phaù hoûng naêng löôïng goàm hoaït ñoäng coâng

3.4 SOUND LEVEL CONTROL A. The sound level from generator shall be less than 85 dB, at 1m. from the wall of the generator room.

3.5 CONTRACTOR FIELD SERVICES

A. Prepare, start, test, and adjust systems until the systems are ready to operate.

B. Any defects found during this test shall be corrected by the Contractor.

3.6 ADJUSTING

A. Chuaån bò, baét ñaàu, kieåm tra vaø ñieàu chænh heä thoáng cho ñeán khi heä thoáng saün saøng hoaït ñoäng.

B. Baát kyø hö hoûng naøo xuaát hieän trong quaù trình kieåm tra seõ do nhaø thaàu söûa chöõa.

3.6 ÑIEÀU CHÆNH

A. Ñieàu chænh coâng vieäc khi caàn thieát.

B. Ñieàu chænh ñieän aùp ñaàu ra maùy phaùt ñieän vaø toác ñoä ñoäng cô ñeå ñaït giaù trò ñònh möùc.

B. Adjust generator output voltage and engine speed to rated value.

3.7 CLEANING

A. Clean work thoroughly.

B.Clean engine and generator surfaces. Replace oil and fuel filters after test procedure.

3.8 DEMONSTRATION

A. Provide systems demonstration and describe loads connected to emergency system and restrictions for future load additions.

B. Simulate power outage by interrupting normal source, and demonstrate that system operates to provide emergency power.
