Dear ESE Families,
We are so excited to be back at school! It was fun to see all of our
students - some smiling, some yawning - this morning!
January is School Board Appreciation month in Texas. We are very
blessed to have a supportive, dedicated school board in Humble ISD! We
want to thank these caring individuals for the time and energy they give
for our kids!
I hope you will all be able to join us for Family Night on January 17,
5:30-7:30. We have planned fun activities for our students to enjoy
with their parents.
Happy New Year,
Mrs. Maldonado

Humble ISD has a communication system for quickly sharing information with
parents by text, email and phone. The system is based on contact
information that parents submit in back-to-school paperwork at the
beginning of the school year, or for students new to the district, upon
enrollment. During the year, if your phone/cell numbers or email
address changes, it is imperative that you inform our Front Office.
Updating school records only takes a few minutes and allows you to continue
to get both routine and emergency communications that may be sent by the
school or district. Keep your information current to stay informed!
The Patriots are Coming!
The Patriots are Coming!
5th Grade Patriot’s Day is coming up on March 8th. Parents please be working on your
student’s costumes! We will be in need of many parent volunteers on this day...it is a very
fun day and you will enjoy getting to see all of the activities the students participate in.
All adult volunteers must be in costume as well. Please email Mrs. Drew with any questions and to sign-up as a volunteer:
ESE Choir Rehearsal will resume on January 28th.

Join us for our PTO GENERAL MEETING
on January 17th at 5:30 p.m. (the same night as family night).
We will be voting on a proposal to shade one of our kindergarten
playgrounds. The cost of the shade is $11,670.00. We would love
to shade both playgrounds but do not have the necessary funds.
If anyone works for a company that would provide matching funds
to get both sides covered, please have them contact us at
[email protected]. You can access the bid sheet and warranty information on
your PTO website if you would like to look at the documents before voting on it. Just click
here: http://www.humbleisd.net/Page/2137
Only families that have paid their PTO membership dues are allowed to vote. It is not to late to join!!! Please fill out the following membership form and return it to school with your $5 today:

Eagle Springs is the Golden Trowel Winner for November!
The Waste Management’s Golden Trowel is awarded to an elementary in
Humble ISD that demonstrates excellence in gardening. Eagle Spring’s
gardens are a fine example of hard work and dedication. Each grade level has garden
boxes geared to support their science level Texas Essential Knowledge and Skill
requirements. Broccoli, cabbage, radishes, and beets have been harvested by K-3rd.
The carrots and sugar snap peas are being grown by 4th and 5th grades.
Look for new vegetables to be sprouting up in the months to come.
Great Work Eagle Springs!
News from the Science Lab...

January 16th from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
