    Scenes at the annual Printing Center Deep SeaExpedition in July 1976; 18 people went, offGalveston, and had a fine time, getting manysharks and bonita. We wanted red snapper, butthe skipper decided that we deserved sharks,so we pulled in some 10 sharks and 25 bonita.

    The Durango-Silverton express, a day-long tripof some 100 miles between the towns, surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery inthe world. Stops for two hours at Silverton tolet passengers shop and eat.

    USAF SR-71, Lockheed strategic reconnaissanceplane, flies at some 2,000 miles per hour, atover 80,000 feet high15 miles.With a crew of two men, the SR-71 is over 100feet long, and holds numerous speed and altitude records.

    Ambrose lightship, built in 1907, guarded Ne*York harbor for many years.

    Beautiful in her day, but shabby now, theravertree was built in England in I885. Builtof iron at the end of the sailing age, shewas never successful.

    Plight line of old planes that will neverfly again, at the Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio...seen January 1977.Douglas X-3 Stiletto, one of only two b.iltin 1952 as a research aircraft...flew some1,600 miles per hour.

    Springfield .03 rifle, identical to the onePaul slept with for two years during WWII,before the issuance of M-l's. Very fine rifle.World War I Curtiss "Jenny," most famous planeof the war, cost $5,000 and flew at the dizzyspeed of 75 mph.

    World War II glider, holding 35 combat troops,was towed by large plane near release point,then landed and disembarked troops.1926 Loening amphibian, one of only fivebuilt, made 22,000-mile Pan American goodwill tour in 1926. Speed 122 mpg.

    XB70, capable of over 2,000 mph, a researchplane that once visited Port Worth. Only other one crashed. 192 feet long.n PT-22, WWII primary trainer, with atop speed of 125 mph...one of the first lowwing monoplanes.

    Sopwith "Camel," most successful fighter ofWWI. Maximum speed 112 mph. Over 5,000 built,but few remain.Apollo 15 command module, in 1971 orbited themoon while astronauts Scott and companionswalked on the moon.

    Sled used in testing "G" forces by the AirForce. Great acceleration by rockets, thentremendous braking on a track was the test.Stearman PT-13, a primary trainer of WWI T,Still popular as a crop duster. Speed 125mph, cost $11,000.

    McDonnell XF85 "Goblin," rode inside a B-36until over enemy territory, then releasedand served as fighter. Built in 1948.German Junkers 88D, captured intact in 1943;dive bomber, photo plane, etc. Speed 225mi

    Douglas v'orld Cruiser wNew Orleans," one offirst planes to circle the earth in 1924, some26,345 miles. Maximum speed 103 mph.1 VII, French-designed WWI fighter plane,and used by British and American airmen. Itsspeed was 127 mph.
