popular at this time Edvard Munch, one
of the most famous and well-known artist in history, painted during this time.

Norwegian literature is Henrik Ibsen
Some of his work includes: “A Doll’s House”, “The Wild Duck”, and “Hedda Gabler”.
Architecture Most of the active architects in
Norway at this time were military officers that have studied civil engineering
Architecture was of interest mainly to limited group of wealthy merchants and landowners
The materials used were stone and wood
Stone houses were a symbol of wealth
