1923 Chevrolet Series M Copper-Cooled

Engineering brainiest Charles Kettering thought of the brilliant idea in 1923 of an air-cooled engine. GM was seeking for an engine that was light, good in price, easy to uphold, and high performance. Kettering believed that this new air-cooled engine would eventually put an end to water-cooling. He made his first appearance of the new engine in January at an Auto Show that was held in New York. The car weighed about 1,700 pounds and the price ranged from $700 to $1,000. Everyone felt it was a new breakthrough and a great success, but engines started to overheat and caused severe explosion. After 500 cars were built the production was stopped and all cars were recalled.

Time MagazineOn March 3rd, 1923, the first copy of the Time Magazine was issued. It was established by Britton Hadden and Henry Luce. It became successful through the image of a single person, first done by hand drawings and then advanced to photos. The first issue had Cannon, who was retiring at the age of 86 after serving 23 terms in the House. Time still is popular to this day because of the emotions that the photos pull out in the public .

Beeman’s Pepsin Chewing Gum

Beeman’s Pepsin Gum hit market during the middle of 1923. Its purpose was to relieve insomnia that was caused from indigestion. This was the original reason why gum was even invented in the first place. Edward Beeman invented it by simply adding pepsin powder to gum. He later became known as the “Chewing Gum King”.
