    AIRCRAFT SPECIFICATIONS Airframe Total Time: 5,067 Hours Airframe Condition: High Average Log Books in Aircraft Appear: Original Comments: No logs exist prior to 11-18-1952. Since the aircraft underwent factory remanufacture in 1952, it is assumed that the factory retained all logs prior to this date. As such, no penalty should be applied for the lack of airframe logs prior to 1952. However, since total airframe time was carried forward to the new log book, airframe time is not considered to have been zeroed out. Logs are legible and appeared to be otherwise complete.

    Airframe Log 2: 11-18-1952 through 7-28-1980 Airframe Log 3: 2-26-1981 through 10-5-2006 Engine Log 1: 10-2-1953 through 10-5-2006. This engine was new in 1953 and was removed

    from another Bonanza before being overhauled and installed on this aircraft on 4-5-1968. Total engine time at installation was 823.7 hours.

    An external airframe inspection reveals no major items of interest for an airplane of this vintage. The airplane has minor soiling and bug spatter but appears to have been well maintained. Flight controls move freely and all doors and panels appear to fit snug against the airframe. The top hinge on the passenger door is slightly bent. The plastic cover for the right wing position light is cracked in multiple locations. A fiberglass reinforcement repair is present on the right wing fuel tank. While the integrity of this repair appears sound, the overall quality of the repair aesthetically speaking is poor (Figure 1). Slight bending of the sheet metal around the both aileron outboard hinges is apparent. A patch has been placed on the right side of the fuselage just aft of the wing trailing edge where the step used to exist. The outboard edge of the right hand ruddervator has a minor crease in the sheet metal. A small crack has been stop-drilled on the outboard lower-side of the left hand ruddervator. A small patch is present on the top of the left wing towards the trailing edge approximately mid-span (Figure 2).

    Figure 2 Skin Patch (Left Wing) Aircraft total time is calculated from the recording tachometer and aircraft records. The current tachometer was overhauled and reinstalled on 12-2-1955 at 1157.7 hours. The tachometer was reset to zero on 1-30-1959 at 1764 hours AFTT and again on 9-14-1959 at 1850 hours AFTT. Therefore, aircraft total time is determined by adding 1850 to the time currently displayed on the tachometer. This can be further validated by referencing the airframe log entry from 3-24-1960 which reads Tach time 1951 hours on aircraft. A note next to this entry indicates time on tach 101 hours. Subsequent log entries do not all accurately reflect the airframe total time.
