We did not include any of the gas tank straps in this identifi-cation article, but these should also be inspected at the timeyour tank is replaced.

Photo #5: The strainer, P/N 29-02or P/N 529042 slips onto the pick-up tube. You will want to slip thestrainer up onto the tube about 1/2".

Photo #6: This is P/N 29-51 it’s a 1957 fuel tank only. The1955 and 1956, P/N 29-50, is the same as the 1957, butwithout the vent tube nipple next to the filler neck.

Photo #8: All gas tanks comewith the screws for the fuelsender, the gasket for thesender, and two o-rings for thefiller neck.

Photo #9: It’s agood idea toreplace the fueltank filler neck atthe same time youreplace the tank. The 1957 has bothan upper and lowerfiller neck.

Photo #10: This is P/N 29-74 a replacement hose for the 1957filler neck. It does not have the cloth on the outside, but willwork great.

Photo #7: This is the new station wagon gas tank. The fuelsender fits in the front top side of the tank. P/N 29-83 is for a1957; it has a vent tube nipple next to the filler neck. Thetank for the 1955-56, P/N 29-82 is the same, but without thevent tube nipple.
