1984 – RESULTS helped secure $60 million for oral rehydration therapy.
1986 – RESULTS generated 90 editorials about the Universal Child Immunization Act.
1995 - Congress created a Child Survival and Diseases Account.
1994 - RESULTS and others fought USAID’s plan to slash child survival spending.
1987 - RESULTS introduced Muhammad Yunus to members of Congress and they passed the
Self-Sufficiency for the Poor Act
1997 - creation of the Microcredit Summit Campaign
2007 – Microcredit Summit Campaign goal obtained –100 million of the world’s poorest reached with microcredit
1992 - letter to World Bank President Lewis Preston, signed by nearly 1,400 members of Congress and
Parliaments around the world
2004 - Microenterprise Results and Accountability Act targets funding to the poorest
