    IN THE NAME OF OOD

    THE FATHER, OOD

    THE

    SON, AND OOD THE HOLY

    OHOST. AMEN.

    I William Huntington, laboTeT

    in

    the lOTd's vineyaTd

    at

    Effingham,

    Wooking and

Richmond, in Suny, and at St.

    MaJY-le-bone

    and SunbuJY,

    in

    the county

    of Middlesex,

    being

    at

    this time at my Tesidence

    in

    WinchesteT-Rowe, in

    the

    county

    I desire

    also

    to render equal

    glory

    to

    Christ

    Jesus,

    my lord,

    whom believe to be co-equal,

    co-essential,

    co-eternal

    with Ood

    the Father,

    and

    distinct only

    in

    personality, office, and name,

    whom,

    though in the

    divinity he be without descent,

    yet

    is

    he the Eternal Son

    of

    Ood

    the Father in covenant,

    character,

    his begotten

    Son by

    his spiritual

    conception, his obedient

    Son

    both

    in life and death, and

pTayer, the Spirit of faith, and the

    Spirit of divine

    consolation,

    - for

    sealing my soul,

    for

    bearing his

    testimony, operating

    and

    appearing an earnest of the

    eternal

    inheritance.

    To the

    ever

    blessed and glorious

    Trinity

    in

    Vnity, be the

    glory

    of

    all

    my

    free,

    full,

    finished,

    and everlasting

    salvation, foreveT and ever.

    Amen.

    And this

    is the Father'S

    will

    which hath

    sent

    me,

    f Middlesex afoTesaid,

    and, though rich in

    OTace,

    in

    my

    Tight

    mind and

    memory,

    meditating on my

    certain appToach to

    death, and the house

    appointed

    fOT

    all

    living, Ido

    make

    and

    declaTe this to be my

    last Will and

    Testament, hologTaph,

    liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiil

    that

    all of

    which

    of

    June,

    in

    the yeaT

    of

    OUT lOTd one thousand, seven

    hundTed and eighty-thTee, in

    manneT and

    in following:

    That

    is

to say: Imprimis: I commit my

    soul into

    the

    hands of the Ood of

    AbTaham,

    Isaac

    and

    Jacob, in

    the

    exeTcise of

    that faith which

    is

    peculiaT to Ood's elect, and,

    glory

be to his name, without any

    doubt

    of my

    inteTest

    in his

    EveTlasting Covenant. And I

    desiTe to bless the

    FatheT

    of all

    meTcies, and Ood of

    all

    comfort,

    fOT

    his

    eveTlasting love to me

    a

    sinner

    fOT

    writing

    my

    worthless

name in the book of life -

    fOT

    putting me into the hands

    of

    his

    deaT

    son -

    fOT

    oTdaining my

    eveTlasting

    salvation, life and

gloJY by him - fOT drawing me to

    him, accepting

    me in him,

    and faT

    begetting

    me to

    a

    lively hope

    thTough his gloTious Tesurrection

    from the

    dead.

    declaratively

    so with power, by

    his resurrection

    from

    the

    dead.

    My

    soul adores

    this Friend

    of the

    friendless

    for

    accepting

    my

worthless name and person - for

    assuming my nature, and taking

    my

    sin

    upon him

    - for

    substituting

my surety, and paying my infinite

    debt

    -

    for

    an

    everlasting

    righteousness by faith in his

    spotless life

    -

    for pardon and peace

    by faith

    in

    his blood -

    fOT

    persevering

    grace and

    strength

    by

    faith in his ann -

    fOT

    Tevealing

    himself to me,

    deigning

    to dwell

    within

    me

    - and

    fOT

    a

    blessed

    hope

    of my eternal

    existence

    with

    him

    in glory.

    Nor can I forebear

    rendering

    equal

    glory

    to Jehovah the Holy

    Ohost,

    for

    his illuminating and

    quickening influence

    -

    for

    leading

    me

    into

    the truth, and

    shedding

    the

    precious love of

    Ood

    abroad

    in my

    heart - for deigning

    to

    opeTate on my soul

    as

    the Spirit of

    22 i

    THE

    COUNSEL

    of

    Chalcedon i September, 995

    hath given me, I

    should lose nothing

    but should raise it up

    again

    at the last day:

    And

    this is

    the

    will of him that sent

    me, that

    everyone

    which seeth the Son,

    ==: 1

    and believeth on him,

    may have everlasting

life, and I will raise him up

    at

    the

    last day. John

    6:39,40

    Secondly, I

    commit

    my body

    to my most meTcifulSaviour, who

    is

    the resurrection and the Iife

    who

    has deigned to dwell in

    it,

    and pTomised to Taise it,

    change

it, fashion it like his own, and fill

    it

    with

    all his fullness

    at

    the end

of time, to be dissolved at his

    own

    appointed

    time, by what

    means he

    pleases, and

    to

    be

    deposited

    where

    his infinite

    wisdom shall think proper;

    finnly

    believing, that through

    rich

    grace

    my flesh will rest in

    hope

    of a

    glorious

    Tesurrection.

    Houses and

    riches

    are

    the

    inheritance of

    fatheTs,

    and a

    prudent wife

    is

    from

    the lOTd.

    Prov.19:14

    Leave thy fatherless

    children,

    I will preseNe

    them

    alive, and

    let

    thy

    widows

    like

    Ruth, the

    Moabitess, and though thou hast

    "cast out

    yet

    condescendest

    to stand in

    grace

    drop many

handfuls for her to glean, until

    she appears

    "in the

    bundle of life,

    as

    a
