D ISHWASHERLoading your DishwasherFirst of all. Before placing dishes in the baskets, remove all course food remains. Thisavoids blocking the filter, whichwould reduce the efficiency of thewash. If saucepans and frying pans arevery dirty, allow them to soak beforebeing washed. To make it easier to load your dishes, pull the baskets out.

Multisystem basketsThe dishwasher is fitted with upper, lower and cutlery baskets. Theyprovide greater flexibility for loadingdishes, making them more suitablefor your specific needs. The basket handles can beremoved for cleaning. Pull out thetwo fastening plugs, remove thehandles and rinse under runningwater. Replace the handles fixingthem in place with the two fasteningplugs.

What goes into the lowerbasket? We recommend you place the mostdifficult dishes to wash into the lowerbasket: saucepans, lids, soupdishes and plates (a load exampleis shown in the photo). Serving dishes and large lids:

place them on the sides of thebasket.

Saucepans, salad bowls: mustalways be placed upside down

Very deep dishes: place themobliquely, thus allowing water torun down them and cleaningthem better

Glasses and cups: positionthem as shown in load examplephoto.

The cutlery baskets can be split upby pulling out the handle andremoving the clip that keeps thetwo parts joined together. When you only have a little cutleryto wash you can use just half thebasket, save space for othercrockery or place the other half inthe upper basket instead (seefigures A and B).This basket is equipped with tworemovable grids. Insert the cutleryone by one into the slots, with thehandles at the bottom. Position themso that they dont touch. In this specific model, the cutlerybasket is fitted with two detachable

side compartments, as shown infigure A1, which can be hooked oneither the upper or lower basket asrequired.

What goes into the upperbasket?Place delicate and lightweight dishesin the upper basket: glasses, teacups and coffee cups, saucers andplates - shallow salad bowls, slightlydirty frying pans and shallow pans.Position lightweight dishes in such away as to avoid their being movedby the spray of water. The dishwasher can also beequipped with one or two tip upcompartments onto which you canplace mugs and cups, as well aslong sharp knives and servingcutlery.

After loading the dishes, rememberto check that the spray arms canturn freely without hitting against anydishes.

How to adjust the upperbasket. The upper basket can be set in highor low position to enable you toorganise your dishes effortlessly.

    Load examplesupper basketlower basket

There are two handles on thesides of the upper basket, usethese to adjust its height (seefig.C).

What can I Wash Items not suitable for the dishwasher: Cutlery and tableware made from wood or part wood - They may become faded and unsightly in appearance. Avoid washing horn handled and bronze cutlery in the machine. Delicate/decorative glassware and vases, special antique or irreplaceable china - the decorative patterns

printed on these items will not be dishwasher proof. Plastic objects that are not resistant to hot water. Copper and Pewter utensils. Aluminium and Sliver objects. Some types of glass can become opaque in appearance after they have been washed too many times in a

dishwasher. Highly absorbent materials such as sponges and towels should never be placed in a dishwasher. If in any doubt, check with the manufacturer on items suitability for dishwashers.

WARNING: Dishes or cutlery soiled with tobacco ash, wax, lubricating grease or paint should not be putin the dishwasher.

Our recommendation: In future, only purchase table or kitchenware that has been confirmed - dishwasher proof.

The filter assembly If you want consistent good resultsfrom your dishwasher, you need toclean the filter assembly. Remove the larger food particlestrapped inside the cup C and thesemi-circular filter A after eachwash; pull the cup handle upwardsto remove them. Just rinse themunder running water. The entire filter assembly shouldbe cleaned thoroughly once a month:cup C + semi-circular filter A +cylindrical filter B. Rotate filter Banticlockwise to remove it.For cleaning, use a non metallicbrush.

Reassemble the filter parts (asshown in the figure) and reinsert thewhole assembly into thedishwasher. Position it into itshousing and press downwards. The dishwasher is not to be usedwithout filters. Improper replacementof the filters may reduce theefficiency of the wash and evendamage your dishwasher.

Cleaning the spray arms.Food residue may becomeencrusted onto the spray arms andblock the holes where water comesout. Check the spray arms regularlyand clean them once in a while.

DO NOT use solvents or abrasivesto clean the exterior and rubber partsof your appliance, do not usesolvents or abrasive cleaningproducts. Use a cloth dampenedwith lukewarm soapy water only.If there are any stains on the surfaceof the appliance interior, use a clothdampened with water and a littlewhite vinegar, or a cleaning productspecifically made for dishwashers.

Cleaning the Water InletFilterPeriodically clean the water inlet filter(see figure 2 under "Installation")located on the outlet of the watersupply tap. After turning off the watertap, unscrew the end of the watersupply hose, remove the filter andclean it carefully under running water. Then, return the filter to its place andtighten the water supply hose backinto position.

Unplug the appliance. Before carrying out any cleaning ormaintenance on the dishwasher, always remove the plug from theelectricity socket.

After every wash. When the wash cycle has ended, always remember to turn off thewater supply tap and to leave theappliance door ajar. This way, moisture and bad odours will not betrapped inside.

The seals. One of the factors that causeunpleasant odours to form inside thedishwasher is food that remainstrapped in the seals. Periodiccleaning using a damp sponge willprevent this from occurring.

Going awayIf the dishwasher is not going to beused for some time, carry out thefollowing: run a cycle with the dishwasher

empty. switch off at the electrical socket

and unplug. turn off the water supply tap,

disconnect the inlet hose andallow to drain.

fill the rinse aid dispenser. leave the door ajar, to prevent the

build up of unpleasant odoursinside the dishwasher.

Before using the dishwasher after along break, plug in and switch on atthe electrical socket. Reconnect theinlet hose and turn on the watersupply tap. Check there are nodeposits of rust inside the waterpipe, if there are allow water to runfrom the supply tap for a fewminutes.
