Camp Rules:1. Listen to all counselors, adults and administrators at

camp2. Remain with the appropriate camp at all times 3. Stay within the specified camp area 4. Be respectful to campers, staff and community members5. Be respectful to camp equipment and other campers

personal property 6. Do not bring any inappropriate items to camp i.e. cell

phone, electronic devices 7. Listen to and obey all camp rules

Discipline:Campers are expected to listen to all staff. Campers will be given a verbal request to stop or change behavior. If the behavior continues the camper will sit out of a camp activity for an appropriate amount of time. If a serious offense is committed, a Discipline Report will be written. It is mandatory that the parent/guardian sign the Discipline Report. Signing the report simply acknowledges you are aware of the situation. If you do not sign the report your camper will not be permitted to return to camp. If a camper receives 3 Discipline Reports they will be expelled from the camp immediately. No refund.

Field Trips: Campers will attend a field trip once per week. Most field trips are scheduled on Fridays. Please wear appropriate shoes/clothing for field trips. Campers will take a school bus to the location. The bus will depart Memorial Park on time. Return time is an estimate. The field trip schedule will be posted once all trips are scheduled and confirmed.

Medication/Insurance: If your child is on a prescribed medication, please fill out the appropriate forms and bring the medicine in the original labeled container. All campers are required to have their own health and hospitalization insurance. The Mechanicsburg Area School District will not pay for any medical expenses a participant may incur while involved in these programs. We advise participants to carry their own accident insurance.

Illness/Injury:Do not put the other campers/staff at risk by sending your child to camp if they are not feeling well. If your child becomes ill/injured at camp you will be notified immediately by the leader on duty. If you are unavailable the leader will contact your alternative emergency contacts. You will be expected to have your child picked up promptly.

Swimming:All camps will swim at the Mechanicsburg Area Outdoor Swimming Pool on days they meet at Memorial Park and are not scheduled for a field trip. Campers are expected to swim in the area designated by their counselor. Failure to stay with their counselor could result in swimming privileges being suspended. Each camper will complete a swim test completed by the pool staff. This test will determine their swim level while at the pool with SAC. Please remind your camper, camp rules may be different than family rules.

• Red: Non-Swimmers/few swimming skills; must stay where they can stand.

• Yellow: Beginning swimming skills; not permitted to go down any water slides.
