1LIVE CHESS BOOK User Manual
Q.1] System Requirements
- The software works on windows 7, windows 8, and
windows 10 platform.
- Please ensure that your speaker of PC/ Laptop is in
proper working condition, otherwise software will not
work.
- You will require winzip/ Winrar software, to unzip the
lessons that you buy and receive on your email.
Q.2] How to download the software from website
for free? - Go to DownLoad software section of the website.
- There, you will find download link for software. Click
on the link, and software will be downloaded in 2
minutes.
-Important: Please install Winzip/ winrar
Program, {Link Given On website}, if you do not
have it, and download user Manual.

- Once Live Chess Book Zip file is downloaded, then give
command open , and a folder will appear in front of
you.
- Then Right click Live Chess Book 1.0 folder, and
give command to extract to specified disk or folder. For
exm. F drive, as shown in picture.
- As you give extract to the specified folder command, Live
Chess Book 1.0 will be extracted to that particular folder.
- Open the folder Live Chess Book, and inside it, create the
folder of your name, For example, Prathamesh . This is the
folder in which, you are going to store the lessons, that
you
have bought.

Q.3] How to start the application?
- Open the folder Live Chess Book.
- In the folder you will have above items, which are not to
be
disturbed in any case.
- To start the application, Click on Live Chess Book 1.0
application file, which is shown in black circle in above
picture.
- If the software does not start in 15 seconds, right click
on
application, and give command Run as administrator.

Q.4] How to open the lesson? (Please Look at next page for
picture)
- Click on Button Open lesson Shown by round circle.
- Then choose the example from the list shown in pink
colour, on right hand side.
- Then the example will start playing, and user can view the
example.

Q.5] How to view the lesson Introduction to
Chess ?
- Click the button open Lessons
- Click on folder Live Chess Book 1.0
- Then folder Introduction To Chess will come, double
click it, so that basic lessons will come on right hand
side.
- After this, user can select the example and start viewing
it.

Q 6] How to buy the lessons/ Courses? - Go to lessons Section of
website.
- Select the course that you want to buy, and then make the
payment.
For example, as shown in the above picture, you are
choosing lesson Beginner Level 1.
- While making the payment, it is very important to give
correct code of your computer.
- The lessons are sent are for this code, and can be
played only on PC/Laptop for which they are sent.
- The code of your PC will always be visible in right hand
corner of Live Chess Book Application, as shown in the
picture below.
- The black colour circle shows the code of laptop.
- This code will be different for every pc and laptop.

Q. 7] How will I receive the lessons?
- Once you make the payment, the lessons will be sent to
your registered email Id in a zip form file.
For example, one user has asked for advance course 1,
with code B080F069E,
On email id [email protected],
name of user Nikhil, on date 13-07-2017.
Within 1 day from making payment,
He will receive email attached with zip file folder

Once you receive the email, download the attached file in
your computer.
When you click on download button as shown in above
picture, the folder will be downloaded in your Pc/Laptop.
Then, right click the folder with mouse, and click open
folder .

You will see the picture as follows.
Once you download the folder, make a right click on folder,
and give command
Extract to the specified folder , (Picture 1 Below)
and then Give Path to your name folder, that you have
already created in the beginning. (Picture 2 below).

Can you see above picture? (Picture 2) , The user has
selected Live Chess Book 1.0 folder, and then Given a Path
to
his folder. Once you click Ok button, the lessons will come
to your folder.
Important Note: If you are unable to understand the above
instructions, please take help of computer expert that you
know.

Q 8] How to open/ start the lessons?
Step 1:
1] Start the application Live Chess Book.
2] Then click on Live chess Book 1.0 folder.
3] Then click on folder of your name.
Step 2: (Look at Picture on next page.)
1] Open the folder of your name.
2] Inside it, you will find the folder that you have just put
in
your laptop/ Pc.
3] Select the lesson, click that folder, and lessons will load
in
pink colour box on right hand side. Select the example, and
start learning.

Q.9] What type of Examples will I learn?
There are 2 types of examples in Live Chess Book Software.
Explained Examples: When an Explained example in being
run, user is not suppose to do anything. You just have to
watch the example, that is being played.
Questions: Whenever you are given a puzzle to solve,
Or a Question in-between explained example,
You are suppose to make a move.
Look at picture on next page.

To answer the question, select the piece, drag and drop it
to
the square, where you want to put it.
If the answer is correct, then computer will accept it, and
say
correct answer .
If the answer is wrong, Computer will say, Bad move, try
again.
Q.10] I do not know the answer. Will I get the Hint? - When you
do not know the answer, click on the Hint
Button, and you will get the answer, that will appear in
right
hand pink box, and also, flash light will come on the board.

Q.11] How to use adjust timing function, that
appears on right hand corner on top?
- This function is given, so that user can adjust software
functioning speed as per his/ her convenience.
- The computer is supposed to wait for one to five seconds,
after every move, or after any question, hint, comment
spoken etc.
- The user can select the time as per his/her convenience.
- Important: If user selects 5 seconds time, he/she is supposed
to wait for 5 seconds before making move,
after computer has finished reading question/ giving
hint. Otherwise the software may not function properly.

Q.12] How to use the exam mode?
- Exam Mode function is created, so that user can test what
he/she has learned/ understood.
- In exam mode, user can solve the puzzles just like normal
mode, but, the hint will not be available.
- The user can also play games/ explained positions from
winning side, to revise openings, explained games, explained
examples etc.
How to use exam mode?
- Click on button Start Exam mode (Black colour box)
- A box will appear in front of you, type your name.
- Then open the folder of lesson, that you want to solve,
just
like open /start the lesson function. Refer Question 8 for
any doubts.
- In exam mode, White to play or Black to play , will
appear in Pink box, an user is supposed to make move of
that side.
- When you feel you have done with, click on button Exit
exam Mode (Red Colour box)
I am not getting answer. What should I do?
When working in an exam mode, if you are not finding
answer, and get stuck up, click the button Make my move.

Q 13] How to view the performance?
- After exiting the exam mode, click on performance history
Button.
- The performance history will appear in front of you.
- When you select the name, you can view the performance
as which questions you have solved (appears in black box),
how many moves made, how many correct moves made,
time taken for solving etc.
- Exam Mode Helps You to track your performance.

Q.14] Function on Pause/ Resume and Next
buttons
- When you are viewing an explained example, you can stop
in between by using Pause button, and then start again by
using Resume Button.
- When 1 example ends, program says, End of Example ,
and then you can go to next Example by pressing Next
Button.

Q. 15] What happens if Code of Computer changes,
after changing the hardware of Laptop/ Pc?
- In such a case, the user can get same lessons for new
code,
after paying rs. 100/- fees on website. , within six months
from date of purchase of original course.
- This facility of getting same course, for a new code, can
be
used only once for one course for one user.
