    Opening Topology Management View

    When the userlogs onto theclient terminal,the topologymanagementview opens bydefault. Or onthe mainwindow, clickTopology ->ViewTopologyGraph to enterthe topologymanagementview.

    Displaying NE Monitoring Alarm Table

    On the menu bar of the client window, select Topology -> Show NE Monitoring Table. The NEMinitoring Table appears under the client terminal.

    Set conditions to filter the displayed monitoring records.

    The operations, such as Export/Print/Customize Display Column/Stop Refreshing, can be performedon the NE monitoring table as required.

    Double-click a desired monitoring record and check its details on the dialog box that appears.

    .In the detailed montoring information window of this NE, click the Handling Measures tab to view orfill the handling measures for this issue.

    Then, click Close to clos this window. If some handling measures need to be filled in, click Save andthen close the dialog box.

    If necessary, perform Acknowledge/Unacknowledged/Comment/Forward/Export/Clear in the window.

    On the menu bar of the clientwindow, select Topology >Show Focused MonitoringAlarm Table. The PrimaryMonitor Alarm table isdisplayed under the alarm andperformance area

    Starting NE Management

    On the NE tree or the topology

    graph, right-click the NE agent

    and select NE Management >

    Start NE Management from the

    shortcut menu.

    After the NE management

    functions are successfully

    enabled, right-click the NE

    agent and point to the submenu

    NE Management on the

    shortcut menu. Corresponding

    management commands

    appear on the menu, such as

    Configuration Management,

    Software Version Management

    and Test Management.

    Creating a Group On the NE tree or the topology view, right-click some node (this node will become the parent node of

    this group). In the prompted shortcut menu, click Create Object and selec the corresponding grouptype (here, we take the type group as an example).

    The Create Group dialog box appears.

    Set the group parameters and click OK.

    Customizing User Account Rule

    On the main menu, clickSecurity ->Customize SecurityEvent Rule to open theCustomize Security Event Ruledialog box.

    The user can type the value inthe text box directly, or click thearrow button to select thevalues. If the default settingsneed to be restored, clickDefault.

    Click OK to complete userpassword and locking rulesetting.

    Customizing a Security Event Rule

    On the menu bar of the client window, click Security >Customize Security Event Rule to open the CustomizeSecurity Event Rule dialog box.

    Set the parameters as needed.

    Click OK to complete the rule setting.

    Creating a Role

    Log in to the client as an administrator. On the menu bar of the client window,

    click Security -> Role Management toopen the Role Management view.

    Right-click any node under Role in theRole Management pane and clickCreate Role on the shortcut menu.

    In the Create Role dialog box thatappears on the right side of the view,there are Role Name, Role Description,and Access Rights text boxes.

    In the Basic Information box, type a rolename which should be unique. Type the

    role description information. Lock therole: Check this combo box and lock thisrole. Once the role is locked, the userassigned with the role is deprived of thecorresponding operation permission.

    Creating a Role (Continuing)

    In the Access Rights area,select the corresponding rightfor the role. On the ResourceTree, set the operation set rightsfor the specified node.z If the right on this node is

    consistent with that on theupper-level or lower-level node,right-click this node. In theprompted shortcut menu, selectFollow Up Right.

    z Double-click any line in the

    operation set name list, anOperation Set Configurationdialog box appears. The usercan view the operation rights ofthe operation set for eachmanagement module.

    Creating a Role Set

    Log in to the client as anadministrator.

    On the menu bar of the clientwindow, click Security -> RoleManagement to open the RoleManagement view.

    Right-click any node under RoleSet on the Navigation Tree on theright. Select Create Role Set onthe shortcut menu. The "CreateRole Set" dialog box appears onthe right side of the view.

    In the Basic Information" box, fill inthe Role Set Name, Role Set

    Description. In the Role SetAssignment area, select a role forthis role set.

    Click OK to complete creating anew role set.

    Create an Operation Set

    Log in to the client as an administrator.

    On the menu bar of the client window, click

    Security -> Role Management to open the Role

    Management view.

    Right-click the opeation set list. In the prompted

    shortcut menu, click Create Operation Set.The

    Create Operation Set dialog box appears.

    Type the operation set

    name and operation set

    description. On the

    Operation Tree, assign the

    operation rights.

    Click the OK button to

    complete creating an

    operation set.

    Creating a Department

    Log in to the client as anadministrator.

    On the menu bar of the clientwindow, click Security -> UserManagement to open the UserManagement view.

    Right-click the root departmentnode or a sub-department nodeon the Root DeparmentNavigation Tree. In the promptedshortcut menu, select "Create

    New Department". The New Department dialog box

    appears. In the Basic Informationtab, fill in the Deparment Nameand Department Description, andselect its attributed department.

    Click OK to complete creating anew department.

    Creating a User

    Log in to the client as an

    administrator.

    On the menu bar of the

    client window, click

    Security -> User

    Management to open the

    User Management view.

    Right-click a deparment

    node on the Root

    Deparment tree. In the

    prompted shortcut menu,

    select Create User. In theBasic Information tab, fill

    in the basic user

    information.

    Creating a User (Continuing)

    In the Role tab, assign a role or roleset to this user. In the UserDepartment tab, select adepartment that this user belongs to.In the Advanced Information tab,set additional information for theuser.

    Viewing User Lockup Records

    On the menu bar of the client window, click Security > View UserLockup Records to open the View User Lockup Records dialog box.

    To unlock the user, click Unlock. The user is unlocked and can log intothe system again.

    Click Refresh to get the latest information of locked user accounts.

    Click OK to close the dialog box.

    Set All Common Users' Passwords

    On the menu bar of the client window, click Security >Modify All Common Users' Password to open the Modify

    All Common Users' Password dialog box.

    z New Password: Type a new password.

    z Confirm Password: Type the new password again and confirm it.

    Click OK to close the dialog box.

    Managing Login Users

    On the main menu, click Security -> Login User Management. The Login User dialog box appears,displaying the Login User, Login IP, Login Time, Connection Type, and Idle Time.

    To force a user to log out of the system, select corresponding row and click Force To Logout. ClickRefresh to retrieve the login user information again from the server. The kicked-out user can log inagain.

    Click Cancel to close the dialog box.

    Setting User Blacklist

    On the main menu, clickSecurity -> User Blacklist toenter the User Blacklistdialog box.

    In the All User list, select auser to be added into theblack list.

    Click to add the user tothe blacklist.

    Click OK. A Confirm dialogbox appears.

    Click OK to exit.

    System Backup/System Monitoring to enter the

    corresponding operation window for maintenance.

    System Monitor view, click the application server.
