Abstract This project deals with the design and development of Personal
lung function monitoring device for Asthma patients. Homemonitoring of lung function is the preferred course of action.
Thus, it is important to develop accurate and ecient asthma
monitoring devices that are easy for patients to use.
In this project we are going to design a user-friendly, accurate,
and portale e!ternal moile device accessory that collectsspirometry, pea" e!piratory #ow, e!haled nitric o!ide, caron
mono!ide, and o!ygen concentration information from patients
after two reath maneuvers.
$e will also develop a software application that records and
stores the gathered test information and e-mails the results to aphysician. $hich allow physicians the opportunity to ma"e
appropriate changes in a patient%s medication regimen more
