Chromatography : taking colours apart

Materials you need:• Coffee filters• Markers water soluble• Cups• Water

1. Take one coffee filter

Procedure to Chromatography

2. Choose one marker, the colour you like most and draw the bottom of the filter.

3. Fill the cups with little water

• Put the coffee filter into the water and allow water to spread up the filter. Wait and see what happens.

• Take the filter out, and let it dry.
