Teacher Only Afternoon. On Tuesday of this week all teachers from pre-school to secondary met to get to know each other and begin planning strategies for the Community of Learning which is being set up in Golden Bay. In this Golden Bay COL, as it will be known, teachers will be working co-operatively across ALL schools to upskill themselves in areas identified as a ‘student need’ in order to provide better learning achievement results for all our Golden Bay children. The Motupipi Board of Trustees fully supports this venture. A special thanks to all parents and caregivers who picked their children up early and looked after their children for the afternoon.

My Dad by Saxon, Room 3.
My Dads hair is black as a TV and its straight
as a ruler. My Dads beard is spikey as nails.
His eyes are as brown as a bears furry coat.
My Dad hates us shouting at him when we want
food. He is as tall as a tree. My Dad loves to
do gardening things. He plays basketball and he
is very good at it. My Dad reads stories at
night when its our bedtime. He sometimes lets
us go biking to the school shop to get and
ice-cream because we have been so good at
home. He’s the best Dad!

My Dad is the best Dad in the whole world. My Dad
is as strong as a bear. He is as tall as a mountain
and as cheerful as a clown. My Dad gives me horsey
rides. I call him Ugle-ugle-ory because he calls him-
self Ugle-ugle-ory. My Dad likes it when I read
