Lenten Action
Living the Good News
Week One
Suggested activities for theweek ahead.
This Lent make a plan for your per-sonal spiritual development and for-mation. Research retreats and spiri-tuality programs that are available inyour area and see what you can takepart in within the Parish.
As you begin your Lenten fastkeep in your prayers the 800million people who suffer frommalnutrition or starvation, and the 18,000 children whodie from hunger each day.
Begin your weekly contribution toProject Compassion.
The Remember me web site hasa page where people from dif-ferent parts of the countryhave shared their story. Thisweek write 300-400 wordsabout some aspect of yourprayer life or spirituality. Eachperson’s story is unique. Bysharing our spiritual journey(with all its meanderings, twists and turns) we off eachother affirmation, encourage-ment and inspiration. To ‘up-load’ your own story:www.bne.catholic.net.au/lent/prayerstory
Before you are required to makeany significant or difficult de-cisions this week spend timein prayer to the Holy Spirit forwisdom, insight and discern-ment.
Lectio Divina
There is also a website (http://thereflection.vividas.com) By simplylogging into this website each weekyou will be able to participate in lec-tio divina for Lent, working with it atyour own pace and in your own timeover the week.
