Why do we serve others during Lent?
Our time given by God is not meant just for us. God intends for us to share our
time with others.
Fasting during Lent means eating one main meal and
two smaller meals with no snacks. Fasting laws apply to all
Catholics from ages 14 to 59 who are in good health.
The only fasting days by Church law
are Ash Wednesday
and Good Friday.
Why do we pray and take time for Retreats during
Lent?
We take time out to build a relationship with God because
we are not totally self-sufficient. We need God’s grace and love.
Join us on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13, 2013 in the Mission Retreat Center’s
