16 RAP rewards DHA public housing residents for program participation and 17 accomplishments in the areas of economic self-sufficiency and aging in 18
place. When you complete activities like attend an LRC meeting, return a 19 survey, complete a job interview, etc., you can earn points that can be used 20 for home improvements or supplies. A listing of activities and items are 21
available in this booklet. 22
RAP Requirements 23 24
RAP points are revised regularly. The RAP book current when points 25 are turned in is used to determine values. 26
To redeem your points, you must be in good standing with your lease 27 requirements as determined by management. 28
Upgrades are based on site requirements. Some items cannot be 29 received at all sites. 30
Upgrades stay within the unit — they are not owned by the resident. 31
Points cannot be traded. Only points earned can be redeemed. 32
Items cannot be sold. If a resident is found to have sold RAP incentive 33 items, they will be ineligible from receiving further incentive items. 34
Points can be redeemed monthly and must be turned into the Service 35 Coordinator at least two weeks before the LRC meeting. 36
Verification must be provided to earn points. 37
Work with your Service Coordinator to track and redeem points. 38
Actual items may vary from pictured item. 39
Awards will be delivered at LRC meetings. 40
Building components must have manager approval. Your manager will 41 determine how often these items can be upgraded. 42
Items redeemed with points are not under warranty. If an item breaks 43 or malfunctions, DHA will not replace it. 44
Residents may not redeem RAP points after submitting a notice to 45 vacate. 46
