GEOPARK ŽELEZNÉ HORYNATIONAL
> A geologically rich and diverse region, Železné hory National Geopark spans 777 km2. Its shape resembles a silhouette of the European Eagle Owl – a bird of prey and the symbol of Železné hory. During your visit to the Geopark you can learn 700 million years of Earth‘s history in just two or three days. You can find more than 100 different kinds of rocks, including rare minerals and sedimentary sections that contain a broad spectrum of fossils. You will have access to a variety of geologically significant locations, informative trails and museum exhibitions.
