Representative computer graphics files created by students in the

Carr Lane Visual and Performing Arts Computer Literacy Classes

Students spent the first quarter working almost exclusively with traditional,

alphabetic text — using word processing software. This quarter the students

are working with computer graphics.

Soon, students will combine both text AND graphics with extensive work

with Desktop Publishing Software.

What follows is just a small sample of the hundreds and hundreds of original

images created by the students at their computing stations.

Many of the assignments reproduced on the following pages are designed to

introduce students to a brand new graphic tool or concept.

In the next few weeks, images will grow increasingly complex and students

will be encouraged to experiment and explore the available computer graphics

tools and techniques.
