Roses parade with a New Year’s Eve Big Band celebration at the Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont. You’ll first visit a float decorating pavilion in Pasadena to see the Rose Parade floats up close as workers apply the finishing touches before the big day. Later, you'll tour the historic Graber Olive House where their world famous olives have been grown and produced

since 1894. Check in at the DoubleTree hotel and celebrate New Year's Eve with a gourmet dinner and entertainment by a full Big Band orchestra at the Candlelight Pavilion. You'll leave the theater singing and dancing to your own memories rekindled! On New Year’s Day, ring in the new year at the world-famous Rose Parade. memorable New Year’s excursion to

Pasadena where you’ll see some of

the Rose Parade floats in their final

stage of construction. Tradition

dictates that every inch of these

floats must be covered with flowers

or other natural materials such as

leaves, seeds, and bark. As you

marvel at these amazing works of

art, remember that the planning for

these incredible structures began

almost a year ago. You’ll have time

to view the decorating process and

watch as the finishing touches are

applied to these magnificent works

of art before we depart for a tasty

Italian lunch at Buca di Beppo. Next,

we check into our hotel

accommodations at the beautiful

DoubleTree in Claremont before

travelling onward to the Graber Olive

Packing House, where the world-

famous Graber Olives have been

grown and produced by the Graber

family since 1894. You'll tour the

quaint processing plant, visit the

gourmet gift shop and sample the

delectable fruit, which is distinctly

different than any you've ever tasted.

Afterward we’ll return to the hotel to

freshen up before walking to the

Candlelight Pavilion to partake in the

Big Band New Year’s Eve

Showcase! Ring in the new year with

Day 2: New Year’s Day Rose Parade Breakfast is included at your hotel this morning. Then, celebrate the start of the new year at the 130th world-famous Rose Parade in Pasadena! The 2019 theme, The Melody of Life, celebrates the universal language of music and honors its power to not only bring us together but take us back to

memories and moments as nothing else can. Enjoy all the sights and sounds of this season’s spectacular event as you watch colorful and animated floats, spirited marching bands, high-stepping equestrian units and celebrities parade in front of you as they make their way down Colorado Boulevard. Your reserved north-facing grandstand seat puts the sun at your back, provides an unobstructed view of the parade and is just a short stroll from our designated motor coach parking. After the parade, enjoy lunch with your fellow travelers at the rustic Clearman’s North Woods Inn restaurant. The restaurant is designed to look like a log cabin complete with snow on the roof and icicles hanging from the eaves. Inside, the lodge-style décor is inviting, fun and casual, right down to the sawdust on the floor. Enjoy a delicious and hearty meal this winter’s afternoon before returning home with warm memories of your New Year Celebration and Rose Parade holiday. [B, L]

Trip Cancellation Protection: An optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) is available at a cost of $70 -$80 per person. CPP allows you to cancel your reservation for any reason up until two hours before your scheduled departure time and receive a full refund (less the CPP fee), provided you notify DayTripper Tours by telephone of your change of plans. CPP does not pay for the single supplement of the remaining traveler when a traveling companion cancels from a double occupancy reservation. Cancellations And Refunds: For reservations not covered by the optional Cancellation Protection Plan, you must cancel your reservation by November 16, 2018 to receive a refund, transfer or credit. A $100 processing fee will be assessed. Unused portions of the tour are non-refundable. If DayTripper Tours cancels the tour you are entitled to a full refund without penalty.
