Among Bangalore’s most engaging landmarks is Cubbon Park Dating back to 1864 and filled with plants and buildings, and statues, this historic park offers a serene respite from the bustling metropolis. Retail culture abounds here, as seen in its futuristic shopping centres like the Forum Value Mall. Retaining old-world charisma, other historical and cultural sites of interest in Whitefield include St. Joseph’s Convent, its oldest school; the picturesque Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the Stations of the Cross statue, both of which are set upon a hill; and the ashram Brindavan, once the summer home of the revered religious leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

It was constructed by General of King Rajamalla, Chamundaraya during the Ganga Dynasty. This 10th century pillar is situated on Vindhyagiri hill not far from Bahubali statue. It rests on an elevated platform and has elaborate carvings from bottom to top.

Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) has been set-up in the year 1991 by Ministry of MSME, Government of India with the assistance of UNDP / UNIDO and Government of Uttar Pradesh. Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP) situated at Selaqui, Dehradun (Uttrakhand) is a successful model for commercialization of aromatic plants which incorporates training, extension, processing, buy back, research & development, all together under one roof, for developing aromatic crops in Uttrakhand. Then development of many aromatic crops such as, damask rose, lemongrass, chamomile, cinnamon, and many Himalayan wild growing species, is exemplary.
Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu
IIIM is a national institute of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of India, with primary focus of research on drug discovery from natural products (medicinal plants and microbial species). IIIM is a multi-disciplinary organization encompassing the natural products chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, Biotechnology and botanical sciences. Established in the year 1949 as MOMA (Mysore Oodabathi Manufacturers’ Association) by seven founding members, AIAMA has been working tirelessly towards encouraging the growth of Agarbathi industry and allied products in India.
