CONCEPT OF THE OPERATION (CONT.)
We will accomplish this mission by conducting an infiltration. Decisive to this operation is the destruction of the communications vehicle on the objective. It is decisive because it will degrade the enemy’s communications and prevent a platoon size or larger attack on Camp Frank Merrill. One squad, the ME, will destroy IOT prevent a platoon size attack on CFM. Another squad, SE1, will destroy IOT isolate the North side of the objective for the ME. Another squad, SE2, will suppress IOT prevent massed fires on the ME. Another squad, SE3, will block IOT prevent a CATK on the ME. The purpose of fires is to allow freedom of maneuver both enroute and on the OBJ. The end state is the platoon in a patrol base and preparing for future combat operations
