Working with complexity can lock up even the most experienced coaches and coaching leaders.
As the coaching industry has matured the need to be prepared to work with uncertainty has become paramount. This pragmatic and experiential workshop will use concepts borrowed from transpersonal and positive psychology, self determination theory, neuroscience, and coaching supervision.
During this 60 interactive workshop, you will better understand why being ‘fit for purpose’ and an expert in uncertainty is important to the industry, your clients and to you as a coach. Topics covered include:
• What does it mean to be ‘fit for purpose’? How do you know when you need to seek outside support?
• Preparing yourself emotionally and intellectually for a coaching session
• The importance of boundary setting, three way meetings and contracting throughout your engagement.
• When to ask vs. when to tell to create change (using Myles Downey range of coaching approaches and linking to the credential process)
• When to engage in Coaching Supervision and why
• What ethical considerations you need to have when working with complexity And what will Tammy’s session unlock?
To maintain or create a successful career as a coach it is crucial that you manage and drive your own refreshment in professional development and continue to challenge yourself to be ‘fit for purpose’ in today's economic environment. Symptoms of not doing so can show up as burn out and reduced enjoyment.
