•The machine is not intended for useby people (including children) with limitedphysical, sensory or mental capabilities, lack of experience or lack of knowledgeunless supervised or instructed bysomeone responsible for their safetywhen using the machine.

•Conversions or modifications to themachine are not permitted.

•Do not use the drying cycle to dryunwashed laundry.

•Laundry which is stained or soaked inoil must not be dried or smoothed inthis machine. Risk of fire!

•Before being dried or smoothed, laundrywhich has come into contact with sub-stances such as oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, stain removers, turpentine, wax or wax removers must be rinsedthoroughly by hand using warm watermixed with a cleaning agent.

•Do not place items of laundry in themachine if they contain foam rubber(Latex foam) or materials similar to rubber.Such items include shower caps, water-repellent textiles, textiles with rubberinserts and pieces of clothing or cus-hions with foam rubber stuffing.

•Fabric softeners or similar productsshould not be used in a tumble dryerto eliminate the effects of static elec-tricity, unless this practice is specifi-cally recommended by the manufac-turer of the fabric softener or product.

– Items that have been spotted or soakedwith vegetable or cooking oil constitute afire hazard and should not be placed ina tumble dryer.

•Oil-affected items can ignite spontaneously, especially when exposed to heat sourcessuch as in a tumble dryer. The items beco-me warm, causing an oxidation reaction inthe oil. Oxidation creates heat. If the heatcannot escape, the items can become hotenough to catch fire. Piling, stacking or sto-ring oil-affected items can prevent heatfrom escaping and so create a fire hazard.

•If it is unavoidable that fabrics that containvegetable or cooking oil or have beencontaminated by hair care products beplaced in a tumble dryer they should firstbe washed in hot water with extra deter-gent - this will reduce, but not eliminate, the hazard. The 'cool down' cycle of tumble dryersshould be used to reduce the tempera-ture of the items. They should not be

All information on applications is forguidance only. Smoothing resultsmay vary depending on the selectedprogramme and especially thefittings and material properties ofthe textile. The results can beimproved if necessary by usingdifferent programmes and steamvolumes. For example, some textilescontaining more than 20%synthetics but with the right fittingsmay behave more like cottontextiles in an Iron Aid programme. You may therefore get bettersmoothing results by selecting acotton Iron Aid programme.

Given the wide range of differenttextile grades and properties thatcan be manufactured today usingdifferent mechanical and chemicalprocesses, we recommend runningthe first few Iron Aid programmes atlow steam levels and with a smallnumber of garments that are assimilar as possible. Later, you cancarefully start to vary the conditionsof Iron Aid programmes to learnfrom experience how to get the bestresults from the volume of laundryloaded, the quality of the textilesand the most suitable steam levelsand Iron Aid programmes. Please also note the accompanying‘Textile Guide’.

You can easily check the level of waterin the tank at any time by looking atthe fill indicator in the viewing window. The maximum fill level is indicated bythe MAX mark.

An overflow guard prevents thecontainer from being overfilled.

The water tank indicator on the displaylights up as soon as the fill volume inthe tank falls below 500 ml when youstart a programme (this corresponds tothe maximum volume of water requiredfor the Iron Aid programme that usesthe most steam, including the creaseguard phase).
