A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Graham is a 1993 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, where he received his bachelor’s degree in sport marketing and man-agement. He played basketball for the legendary Bobby Knight from 1989-1993. During his tenure at Indiana, Greg was a part of two Big Ten titles and a berth in the 1992 NCAA Men’s Final Four. He is the only player in Big Ten history to lead the league in field goal percentage (55 percent) and 3-point field goal percentage (53 percent) in the same year. Notables on that team include Damon Bailey, Calbert Cheaney and Alan Henderson, all whom have been drafted into the National Basketball Association (NBA). Graham himself was a first-round draft choice of the Charlotte Hornets (17th). He played professionally for five seasons (Philadelphia, New Jersey, Seattle and Cleveland) in the NBA before going to Europe to finish his career while playing for Magic Johnson’s All Star traveling team.
After retirement from his professional playing career, Graham started working at the National Collegiate Athletic Association where he was one of the founders of the NCAA First Team Basketball Mentoring Program. Here Graham’s duties were to evaluate and select elite basketball players at an early age who show
the promise to be prospective student-athletes while also teaching them the impor-tance of education, keeping them on track to graduate and monitor their core cours-es. This program has now been existence for 7 years.
After his work at the NCAA, Graham started his coaching career with the Indiana Alley Cats of the American Basketball Association. In his first year, Graham went 30-5 and quickly was recognized as one of the top ten coaches in minor league basketball. Coach Graham currently teaches physical education and is in his 1st year as Head Coach of the Boys Varsity Basketball team at Warren Central High School.
Graham resides in Noblesville, Indiana and has a daughter, Gianna 11.

seasoN PrevieWThe Warren Central Lady Warriors’ basketball team enters this season minus six seniors from the ’07-’08 campaign. Leadership, however, won’t be in short supply; directing the charge are experienced and talented seniors Keona Bruen, Qaniah Douglas, Emily Wright and Shay Walls. Bruen returns as the leading scorer from last year’s season. Joining her are juniors Jordan Barton and Brandi McKinney, who could be the focal point on the court for the next two years. Juniors Kristien Malone and Bre Turner also look to be key con-tributors in the Warriors’ quest for success. Also adding to the Lady Warriors’ depth are Rayven Davis, Bianca King, Anna Rowe, Ayannna Smith, and Alyson Gaines. Freshmen BreAnn Denny, Linzi Moore, and Kalliste Haskins are also capable and promising additions to the Lady Warriors nation.
First year Coach Michael Brooks and staff acknowledge that the Lady Warriors have not captured a confer-ence win in two years. If the Lady Warriors’ pre-season work ethic and performance are any indication, that will change this season.

Girls Basketball Head Coach Michael Brooks is in his first season with the Lady Warriors. The former Warren graduate was chosen to lead the Lady Warriors last spring after rebuilding the Lady Continentals basketball program at George Washington High School. Coach Brooks motivated a 1-18 program into a respected 10-10 program in a two-year span. The people in Warrior nation are looking forward to the Lady Warriors making similar strides under the guidance of Coach Brooks. Along with his coach’s duties, Brooks will also showcase his tire-less work ethic in the classroom. Brooks joined the Physical Education depart-ment where he teaches both P.E. and Health.
As a Warren Central High School student, Brooks was a three-sport athlete. Michael managed to capture All-State honors in football and track as well as earn-
ing the distinction of athlete of the year in his senior campaign. He also competed on two state champion teams while at Warren as well. Brooks played basketball under the helm of Coach Heady, former Boys Basketball Head Coach of 13 years.

The Athletic Department is charged with the responsibility of helping your son or daughter to be the best possible student, ath-lete, citizen, and competitor within their potential. We will conduct an educationally sound program that will develop an athlete’s fundamentals, techniques, strategies, and sportsmanship for competition. It is our hope that your family will leave Warren with many fond memories of accomplishment in every phase of athletics. We want your son/daughter to be a better person because they competed at Warren and we feel confident Warren will be better because they were here.
Athletic Policy: The Student-Athlete Handbook has been carefully prepared, documented, and adopted by our school board. It clearly states our policies, rules, and procedures. Because this information is vital, we ask every parent and student to sign that they have read and understood the information contained in the handbook. Athletes cannot practice until this has been complet-ed and signed by student, parent, and doctor.
channel of communication: There will be times when clarifications are needed, questions answered, requests made, and informa-tion exchanged. It is the desire of each coach and the Athletic Department to impart accurate information. If parents have a ques-tion concerning their daughter/son, they are to first contact the head coach of the child’s respective sport. If, after talking with the coach, there needs to be further discussion parents should contact the Athletic Director. All parties must keep in mind that firmness, fairness, and hard decisions are a part of athletics. It is important to get all possible information before decisions are made.
contest Dates: The athletic schedule is contained in the schedule booklet available to every resident of Warren Township. All coaches are to hand out a complete varsity/reserve sport schedule to each of their athletes.
Practice attendance: It is evident that athletes cannot get better without consistent practice. Our athletes are expected to be present at all practices. Practice is not optional for an athlete. Only the coach can adjust practice schedules. Practice schedules are avail-able from coaches; they are not kept on file at the Athletic Office.
interest clubs: Several sports have a group of parents who exist to enhance their son or daughter’s athletic experience. These boost-er groups are under the guidance of each head coach and the athletic director. The coaching staff and parents of each particular group govern their activities.
Post-Season Events: Award presentations, dinners, pitch-ins, picnics, and other get-togethers are sometimes held at the close of an athletic team’s season. These events are not required. They are held at the discretion of each sport.
Rainouts/Postponements: Decisions concerning rainouts and/or postponements will normally be made at the last minute. This is to insure our making the best decision. Our athletes have practiced hard to compete and we want to attempt to let them compete whenever safely possible. The Athletic Office can be called for this information between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m.
Admission charges: The high school principals of Marion County have determined admission charges:
All Varsity Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Gymnastics, Swimming, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, & Track $5.00
All Junior Varsity & Freshman Contests $3.00
Special Warren central Pass Prices:
Adult All-Sport Pass: $40 Entitles the adult entrance to all home athletic events except the IHSAA and Marion County Tournament contests.
Student Activity Pass: $30 Entitles the Student entrance to all home athletic events except ISHAA and Marion County Tournament contests.
Varsity Letter Pass: $15 Any athlete who has earned his/her letter in a sport can purchase this pass, which will allow them into all home athletic contest except ISHAA and Marion County Tournament contests.
Activity Bus: The activity bus normally runs two times after school. The first bus leaves at approximately 4:15 p.m. and the late bus leaves at approximately 5:30 p.m. Weather conditions and early dismissal will affect the running of these buses. There are no activity buses during vacation practices or after night contests.
