NEW 4WD SYSTEM RULES THE ROADIntroducing Selec-Trac® II, the most advanced four-wheel-drive (4WD) system in its class,(1) now exclusively available on the all new 2008 Jeep
®
Liberty. When in 4WD AUTO mode, the always-active 4WD transfer case provides continuous, optimum traction that effortlessly conquers rocks,
snow, ice, mud and anything in-between. When traction loss tries to rear its nasty head, Selec-Trac II identifies the situation and immediately
sends torque to the wheels with the most grip. It’s Jeep brand Trail Rated® capability through and through. Selec-Trac II offers a unique two-
wheel-drive mode, an efficiently strong feature that perfectly pairs with dry pavement.
Hill Start Assist (HSA) is new and standard, too. Working to help Liberty reach the highest heights, HSA will momentarily hold brake
pressure as you climb, fighting vehicle roll back and eliminating the need for two-footed driving in many off-road situations. The available Hill
Descent Control (HDC) assists when Liberty comes down the mountain. Active in 4LO when the HDC button is depressed, it mimics the mighty
Wrangler Rubicon’s 4LO crawl ratio using automatic braking, allowing the driver to smoothly descend hills in a slow and controlled manner.
The standard 3.7L V6 engine produces a robust 210 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm, with a generous dose of
power at the engine’s low-end that provides more pull when the going gets tough.
The new and optional Selec-Trac® II offers BEST-IN-CLASS 4WD performance(1) with
its real-time traction response. This exclusive system is constantly active and
adjusting to road conditions and your individual driving style, delivering the optimum

The Sky Slider roof can be gathered fully forward, or fully rearward, or partially opened to any position in-between. The roof is integrated into the vehicle’s body via
a reinforced safety cage-like frame consisting of 10 lightweight aluminum crossbars that help maintain structural integrity and add an element of protection. The
reinforced nylon fabric nests into a specially designed weather-strip seal that’s purposefully created to virtually eliminate wind noise when closed. Factory installation

CLASS EXCLUSIVE. Liberty’s available Trailer Sway Control (TSC) works in tandem with ESP and ABS.
By alternating brake pressure, it helps reduce trailer sway and improves handling in adverse towing conditions
caused by crosswinds and traffic. Choose the newly available Rain-Sensing Automatic Wipers(3) to quickly
swipe away falling cloud residue during inclement weather or those friendly dots of mud that spray from
excitable off-road mud puppies.
The all new 2008 Jeep® Liberty arrives at your doorstep loaded with a solid set of safety and
security features. A standard air bag(1) system includes side-curtain and advanced multistage
driver and front passenger air bags. Active features like Liberty’s Electronic Stability Program
(ESP)(2) keep watch as you drive, taking immediate action should the unexpected occur. A host
of integrated systems, including Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM), antilock brake system (ABS),
Brake Assist and Traction Control, work together to give you a sense of mastery on the road.

BRING IT ONMatching its out-sized capability is the all new 2008 Jeep
® Liberty’s up-sized utilitarian interior. Up front, Liberty’s center console offers a full
10 liters of storage space to keep small items safely out of sight. Plus, you can choose to option a handy 115-volt AC outlet, conveniently placed
at the rear of the center console, for 150-watt output of power that’s useful for laptops, gameboxes and other small electronic devices. Liberty’s
cargo area is longer by 3 inches, adding lots more room for the family pooch or other treasured belongings. The reversible rear cargo tray is a
welcome feature for folks who like to play dirty. One side is carpeted and the other reveals a 2.5-inch-deep, washable cargo tray designed to
transport items like happy, wet dogs or your muddiest sporting goods.
Liberty’s second row of fold-flat seats are more comfortable for passengers than ever, with an additional 1.5 inches of legroom and
