LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy
Assistance Program)
LIHEAP applications are now being accepted throughout
September and October, for homes with senior citizens and
disabled residents. Beginning October 1st, applications will be
accepted for homes that are currently disconnected due to lack
of payment. All other households meeting the eligibility
guidelines can apply on and after November 1st. Cook County
residents in need of assistance with their utility bills should
call CEDA's LIHEAP Hotline at 800-571-CEDA (2332),
8:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.
Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for LIHEAP,
residents must be at or below 150% of the federal income
poverty level and live in Cook County. LIHEAP applications
can be taken at one of the intake sites located throughout Cook
County. When applying for assistance, clients must bring in
the following information:
Proof of *gross income from all household members for
the past 30 days.
A copy of your current heat and electric bills (if you pay
for your home energy directly).
Proof of Social Security Numbers of all household
members (Social Security Cards, a letter or printout
from the Social Security Administration, or any other
form of government-issued identification that shows
both name and Social Security Number).
If a member of your household receives TANF, you must
bring their “Medical Eligibility Card”.
If you rent and your utilities are included in the rent, bring
proof of your rental agreement that must state your
monthly rent amount and that your utilities are included in
the rent.
Proof of home ownership is required for furnace.
Most applications take at least 30 days to process, so clients
must be patient. Clients will receive written notification of
their approval for LIHEAP funds. If the client is approved,
money is either given directly to the utility company or, if the
clients' utility bills are factored into their monthly rent
payment, given directly to the client.
* For households with more than three residents please visit
CEDA‟s website below to view a complete chart of gross
incomes.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the
end of the world. Amen. The Pastor and teachers at the IOG travel the United States
teaching this nation, but we read where the Lord said teach all
nations. In order for Israel to fulfill Jesus words something had
to come about. 2000 years after the Lord‟s command, the Lord
invented something called the internet Now Israel can begin to
fulfill prophecy. The IOG has obeyed the Masters command. The Lord has
blessed us to teach his creation by utilizing the information
superhighway. Every Sabbath we stream live @
http://www.theisraelofgod.com/ We also can be heard all over the world on World Harvest
Radio which is short wave radio @ http://www.whr.org.
fulfilling another of Jesus command Mt 24v14: And this
gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world
for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
All over the world the Israel of God is being heard.
The vineyard must help teach all nations
The vineyard has to help our Pastors and teachers, the
vineyard is us. It is written Isa 5:7 For the vineyard of the
LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, it is our duty to go out
and teach the nations about Jesus. It is written Amos 3v1:
Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O
children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought
up from the land of Egypt, saying, 2: You only have I known
of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for
all your iniquities. Paul said that we have the oracles of God.
Rom 3v1: What advantage then hath the Jew? or what
profit is there of circumcision?:2 Much every way: chiefly,
because that unto them were committed the oracles of
God. The vineyard has the most prestigious and coveted job on
earth. It is written, Jesus said Israel shall be a kingdom of
priest Ex 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of
priests, and an holy nation. Peter confirmed what Jesus said.
1Pt 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth
the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his
marvellous light: How do we help?
Now to the purpose of this writing. How can the vineyard help
teach the nations about Jesus? We live in a time when a
computer is a necessity in the home. We can help teach Jesus
word by going to Christian forums on the internet. These
Christian forums discuss their understanding ,they teach their
doctrines, they teach their denomination.
Many of us may get the ear of one person usually on the job or
a family member, but on these Christian forums you can teach
many by posting a lesson or answering people's questions. It is
easy and very simple. The only requirement for the royal
priesthood is understanding the Word of God. Those who have
set at the Israel of God for over 2.5 years should have
understanding. Most of these Christian forums are Gentile owned and
moderated, they have an agenda and that agenda is to teach
their gospel. We can‟t have this, we have been instructed to
teach the nation about the Jesus of the bible. We have been
told to preach the gospel of Jesus in all the world. We will go
into their cities via the internet and teach. Mt 11:1 And it
came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his
twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach
in their cities. We will bring them to the Israel of God via the
Sabbath day live lessons. The nations need to know who the priests are and this will
eventually get the nations on these forums to come and sit and
be fed by our teachers. Israel, it works! We have a small work
force out there, but we need more labourers. Mt 9:37 Then
saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but
the laborers are few. These forums have a statement of faith so we have to be wise
as a serpent so we don‟t get kicked off right away. Mt 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be
ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. They
have moderators who don‟t understand the word of God, so be
wise. They have agitators so be harmless as doves.
Find time to participate remember it's your job. Make it your
part time job if you work and if you are retired make it your
full time job. Again the Lord said Mt 28v 18: And Jesus
came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto
me in heaven and in earth. 19: Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20: Teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am
with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. The Israel of God is a Bible Study Class. Our purpose is to
teach the uncut word of God according to the Prophets (Old
Testament) and Apostles (New Testament).
Here are a few sites that some brothers and myself are on.
There are hundreds of forums on the internet.

God vs. Science... Submitted by Sis. L. Williams
Author unknown
'Let me explain the problem science has
with religion.' The atheist professor of philosophy pauses
before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.
'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'
'Yes sir,' the student says.
'So you believe in God?' 'Absolutely. '
'Is God good?' 'Sure! God's good.'
'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'
'Yes'
'Are you good or evil?'
'The Bible says I'm evil.'
The professor grins knowingly.
'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a moment.
'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here
and you can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him?
Would you try?'
'Yes sir, I would.'
'So you're good...!' 'I wouldn't say that.'
'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if
you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'
THE ISRAEL OF GOD JULY < --- >SEPT. 2009 Vol. No. 7 Issue No.3
The Israel of God Bible Study Class 2515 E. 75th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60649 773-374-6413 Email: [email protected] 6
The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He
doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of
cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him. How is
this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can you answer that one?'
The student remains silent.
'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of
water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to
relax.
'Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?'
'Er...yes,' the student says.
'Is Satan good?'
The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'
'Then where does Satan come from?'
The student falters. 'From God'
'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there
evil in this world?'
'Yes, sir.'
'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything,
correct?'
'Yes'
'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created
everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and
according to the principle that our works define who we are,
then God is evil.'
Again, the student has no answer. 'Is there sickness?
Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do
they exist in this world?'
The student squirms on his feet. 'Yes.'
'So who created them?'
The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his
question.
'Who created them?' There is still no answer. Suddenly the
lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The
class is mesmerized. 'Tell me,' he continues onto another
student. 'Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?'
The student's voice betrays him and cracks. 'Yes, professor, I
do.'
The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses
you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have
you ever seen Jesus?'
'No sir. I've never seen Him.'
'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'
'No, sir, I have not.'
'Have you ever felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your
Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus
Christ, or God for that matter?'
'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't..'
'Yet you still believe in him?'
'Yes'
'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you
say to that, son?'
'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'
'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem
science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'
The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a
question of His own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'
'And is there such a thing as cold?'
'Yes, son, there's cold too.'
'No sir, there isn't.'
The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested.
The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to
explain.
'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-
heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we
don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees
below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after
that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be
able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees. Everybody or
object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy,
and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit
energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.
You see, sir, cold is only a word we used to describe the
absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can
measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not
the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.'
Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the
classroom, sounding like a hammer.
'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as
darkness?'
'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night if
it isn't darkness?'
'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the
absence of something. You can have low light, normal light,
bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly
you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the
meaning we use to define the word. 'In reality, darkness isn't.
If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker,
wouldn't you?'
THE ISRAEL OF GOD JULY < --- >SEPT. 2009 Vol. No. 7 Issue No.3
The Israel of God Bible Study Class 2515 E. 75th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60649 773-374-6413 Email: [email protected] 7
The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him.
This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making,
young man?'
'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is
flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be
flawed.'
The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time.
'Flawed? Can you explain how?'
'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student
explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a
good God and a bad God.
You are viewing the concept of God as something finite,
something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a
thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen,
much less fully understood either one. To view death as the
opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot
exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life,
just the absence of it.'
'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they
evolved from a monkey?'
'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young
man, yes, of course I do.'
'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'
The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he
realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester,
indeed.
'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at
work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going
endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now
not a scientist, but a preacher?'
The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the
commotion has subsided.
'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other
student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'
The student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the
class who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class
breaks out into laughter. 'Is there anyone here who has ever
heard the professor's brain, felt the professor's brain, touched
or smelt the professor's brain? No one appears to have done
so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable,
demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain,
with all due respect, sir.'
'So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your
lectures, sir?'
Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student,
his face unreadable.
Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I
guess you'll have to take them on faith.'
'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists
with life,' the student continues. Now, sir, is there such a thing
as evil?'
Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is.
We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's in
humanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence
everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing
else but evil.'
To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at least it
does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.
It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to
describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is
the result of what happens when man does not have God's love
present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is
no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.'
The atheist professor sat down.
'Building Hopes'
To our good health:
Let's keep in mind that it's what we eat and
how we think that equals good health. The
word 'doctor' has replaced the name JESUS
in so many people's conversations. He is
our HEALER, so pray to the Father in Jesus'
name and call upon the Elders to anoint you with oil and pray
for your healing. Seek him first and if need be see your
doctor. They are here for a reason but they are not GOD. We
are so very grateful to sister Deloris Buie for the much needed
information on beet sugar which is better for our health than
white cane sugar which breaks down the body and causes
headaches to name a few. It can be purchased at health food
stores. Also, please don‟t let our children lay their faces in the
seats of the chairs. Bacteria can cause rashes and sickness.
Words of gratitude: We are so very proud of our graduates for 2009. Thanks to the
editor, sister --- Bridgette for such a fine job with our
newsletter and for that beautiful article in July. It was so
wonderful to hear about modest apparel. May God, that took
me back to when older women would teach younger women
about shamefacedness and words from the bible when women
cared about keeping themselves and their families clean and
wanting to be married to God fearing men and staying married
and when men stayed and raised their children and protected
their families, becomes the norm and not a thing of the past or
a novelty.

To our spiritual growth:
Let us include in our daily scripture the six things that
almighty GOD hates seven is an abomination. Proverbs 6:16-
19 Let's take inventory of our selves often and seek to know
what is required of us. I was convicted again for being in the
midst of some ungodly situations and I almost got involved
with the planning for one of man's biggest feast days of them
all, that comes up in November.
Amos 5:21-22-23 I'm so grateful for the chance to repent,
because we want to build. Can we all say..."let it begin with
me".
Yours truly Sister Calhoun 'twomama'.
44 Uses For WD-40 Submitted by Sis. L. Williams
Water Displacement #40. The product began from a search for a rust preventative solvent and de greaser to protect missile parts. WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from the project that was to find a 'water displacement' compound. They were successful with the fortieth formulation, thus WD-40. The Corvair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts. Ken East (one of the original founders) says "there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you....' IT IS MADE FROM FISH OIL'." Here are 44 uses for WD-40: 1) Protects silver from tarnishing. 2) Removes road tar and grime from cars. 3) Cleans and lubricates guitar strings. 4) Gives floors that `just-waxed` sheen without making it slippery. 5) Keeps flies off cows. 6) Restores and cleans chalkboards. 7) Removes lipstick stains. 8) Loosens stubborn zippers. 9) Untangles jewelry chains. 10) Removes stains from stainless steel sinks.. 11) Removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill. 12) Keeps ceramic/terra cotta garden pots from oxidizing. 13) Removes tomato stains from clothing. 14) Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots. 15) Camouflages scratches in ceramic and marble floors. 16) Keeps scissors working smoothly. 17) Lubricates noisy door hinges on vehicles and doors in homes 18) It removes black scuff marks from the kitchen floor! (Open some windows if you have a lot of marks) 19) Bug guts will eat away the finish on your car. Removed quickly, with WD-40! 20) Gives a children's play gym slide a shine for a super fast slide.
21) Lubricates gear shift on lawn mowers. 22) Rids kids rocking chairs and swings of squeaky noises. 23) Lubricates tracks in sticking home windows and makes them open with ease. 24) Spraying an umbrella stem makes it easier to open and close. 25) Restores and cleans padded leather dashboards in vehicles, as well as vinyl bumpers. 26) Restores and cleans roof racks on vehicles. 27) Lubricates and stops squeaks in electric fans. 28) Lubricates wheel sprockets on tricycles, wagons, and bicycles for easy handling 29) Lubricates fan belts on washers and dryers and keeps them running smoothly. 30) Keeps rust from forming on saws and saw blades, and other tools. 31) Removes splattered grease on stove. 32) Keeps bathroom mirror from fogging. 33) Lubricates prosthetic limbs. 34) Keeps pigeons off the balcony (they hate the smell). 35) Removes all traces of duct tape. 36) Folks even spray it on their arms, hands, and knees to relieve arthritis pain. 37) Florida 's favorite use Cleans and removes love bugs from grills and Bumpers . 38) Protects the Statue of Liberty from the elements. 39) WD-40 attracts fish. Spray a LITTLE on live bait or lures and you will be catching the big one in no time. 40) Ant bites. It takes the sting away immediately and stops the itch. 41) WD-40 is great for removing crayon from walls. (Spray on the mark and wipe with a clean rag) 42) If you've washed and dried a tube of lipstick with a load of laundry, saturate the lipstick spots with WD-40 and Presto! Lipstick is gone! 43) If you spray WD-40 on the distributor cap, it will displace the moisture and allow the car to start. 44) Keep a can of WD-40 in your kitchen cabinet. It is good for oven burns or any other type of burn. It takes the burned feeling away and heals with NO scarring.

Circumcision Lowers Risk of Infections
According to Dr. Edward Hook, in his
interview with Catherine on the subject of
Circumcision and Gonorrhea; it is important that males be
circumcised. A study was conducted on men in
Sub-Sahara Africa, where it was concluded scientifically that
men should be circumcised because it can eliminate and lower
the possibilities for infections to the male as well as the
female, esp. with the epidemic of HIV/AIDS. You can listen

Psalm 121
1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

People you better stop playing . . . And get for real with God
Because His Commandments are not grievious . . . Nor hard to
keep...You better make a decision now to call Him Lord
You see LORD means you do whatever HE wants
Irrespective of what others say
Calling Him LORD means you interrupt your busy schedule
And take a little bitty time to pray
Let me tell you LORD means you dust that bible off
And you forget about the TRADITIONS OF MEN
Calling Him LORD means you blow the Trumpet in Zion
Compelling all men to JESUS . . . And to depart from sin

And when He gets here you better have your houses in order
Because His Wrath . . . He sure shall pour
