    Baby Bottle BlessingREMINDER - - - REMINDER - - -REMINDER

Baby Bottle Ingathering is Fathers Day, June 21.

Several have already returned their bottles, so do not

feel obligated to wait until June 21. There are two

designated areas for you to return all baby bottles.

Return bottles to: The table next to the missions display in the foyer

The table in the hallway as you leave Franklin Hall

There will be a person at each table to assist in this process.

Two organizations let us borrow baby bottles for the BBB

project so it is important we get 100% of the bottles returned,

whether full or not. Thank you.

Short-Term Mission OpportunityJuly 1118, 2009 | Flagsta Mission to the Navajos

We will be working with a Navajo church, doing work

projects at the church (painting, cleaning, installing cabinets)

and conducting a Vacation Bible School for K-12th graders. We

have supported Lenita Vetter for over 40 years working with this

mission. We look forward to being involved with thier ministry.

The cost will be $400. We will sleep and eat at the church, and

travel down in vans. This is a great opportunity for families and

    individuals of all ages.

Please Pray for our Short-term MissionariesWe have several short term mission trips serving this summer

around the world, and they all need YOUR prayers for safety,

    health and opportunities to minister

Which One Will You Help?By Joe Lightfoot, Pastor of Adult Ministries

The end of May is a time of launchingfrom work to vaca-

tion; from housework to yard work; and from colleges all across

the country to lives filled with high

    hopes. College and university grads

    are launched into responsible adult-

    hood with sometimes humorous, but

    frequently inspiring commencement

    addresses.

    The words used by Holocaust

survivor and Nobel Prize winner ElieWiesel can serve to launch us as well.

At Bucknell University on May 16th,

    Wiesel encouraged the graduates and

each of us to make a difference where we can. Wiesel charged:

You will also learn that you can do something. You can,

even for one person. There must be on this planet at least

one person who needs you. One person you can help. Dont

turn away; help. Because those who suffer, often suffer not

    because of the person or the group that inflicts the suffering;

they seem to suffer because nobody cares.

Through our Takin It to the Streets initiative, you, too can

make a difference. There are a host of opportunities to showpeople in our community that you care. Pick up a blue flyer this

morning and find a place where you can make a difference.

MISSION ONE Reaching others for Jesus ChristJe & Carolyn AndersonMission Board: New Life

    Location: Santander, Spain

What do they do? Jeff and

    Carolyn are co-directors

of La Industria, a 9-monthdiscipleship program offered to Spanish youth on the north-

ern coast of Spain to strengthen and develop leadership. In

Contra Corriente the goal is to motivate through events that

challenge young people to fully abandon their lives to God.

Carolyn went on many FFC mission trips as a teen. She is

the daughter of Mike and Jan McCourt.

    Praise:

Students in their arts and faith discipleship program are

having quite a few opportunities to get into the public high

    schools around Santander.

    Prayer Requests:

For their trips with La Industria students and their times of

ministry and outreach to high schoolers.

    For a building to purchase; funds for new sound equipment;

repairs of the rental warehouse; repairs on the Anderson

    Steve & PatClosed Country

What do they do? Serving as Area Director, Steve searches for

open doors in a restrictive environment where many pay a

costly price for their faith. In 1993 only 2 of the 32 ethnic

tribes had some kind of Christian witness among them.Through prayer, meeting with national and foreign mis-

sionaries and serving in economic development, this couple

seeks to reach 9 minority groups who do not yet contain a

single believer. Twenty-three groups now have believers who

are being used to reach their neighbors.

    Prayer Requests:

For their concentrated efforts towards helping national be-

lievers reach many impoverished areas with the Good News.

For the 9 remaining groups who need to hear and see the

    love of Jesus.

For believers to be equipped with compassionate strategies

in helping women address the issues of abortion. For 20 local pastors committed to regular prayer for their

    country.

For Pats healing from Cushings disease.

    Superintendent as well as Direc-

    tor for Development for Faith

Academy, the largest missionaryboarding school in the world.

Faith supports missionary families serving throughout Asia

by providing quality care and nurturing in the schools

boarding homes. Steve is also the schools PR person,

responsible for raising funds for Campus Development Proj-

ects. Rhonda assists Steve and is Alumni Coordinator for

    7000 alumni.

    Praises

celebration. They have had 25 years of joy, pain, sorrow,

doubts, fulfillment, laughter, tears, trials and blessings

Each week these friendly bugs will help our

This week the bugs taught us about having an attitude of

    more money than his wife

What is the real secret to

    having a successful marriage?

    Surely one critical aspect is

    simply working on it. Spend-
